The bothy- peaceful country life near the sea

The bothy is a beautiful newly converted farm building located on the east mainland of Orkney. The property is in the countryside, surrounded by farmland and just along the road from one of several wonderful beaches in Deerness. Should you need any items for a baby like a carrier (any age), seat, snuzpod, cot/ cotbed, highchair, etc. Please let us know prior to your arrival, along with the age of the baby/toddler. We also have a 4 bedroom house next door should you need a bigger accommodation

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. Constructed in 2021 it has been purpose built to the highest modern standards. Conveniently situated, Skeir a Lidda is easy to get to and is a perfect base from which to explore the islands. While the annexe is connected to the host's own house it is self contained and private. Friendly help and advice is next door!

It is a peaceful location and the perfect quiet getaway When the weather is stormy, the views of the beach are amazing, the raging sea crashing onto the shore, viewing from the cosy conservatory what more could you wish for Should you want to book less than the minimum nights required then please get in touch as this may still be possible

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book.
