Welcome to our cosy glamorous bell tent set in a truly magical location where the woods meet the reeds. Enjoy the wonderful combination of riverside wilderness, farm animals and comfortable outdoors accommodation which is only ten minutes walk to Woodbridge with all the buzz of a lively Suffolk market town. Fen Lodge Shepherd's Huts is close to the Suffolk heritage coast with Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh a short drive away. There are heath and woodland walks, RSPB Minsmere and a great village pub a short walk from the hut. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the comfy beds, the wood burning stove, the dark night sky and the views across the meadow. Fen Lodge is suitable for families, couples and solo adventurers. (Self-catering breakfast baskets £22 for veggie/£25 for meaty).

Spinneys Boathouse by The Suffolk Cottage Collecti

With a private gate to the beach, Spinney’s Boathouse is perched beside the sea in the magical village of Thorpeness, next to the main house. Groups of up to six guests are welcome to stay here and indulge in all that this fantastic holiday destination has to offer. Thorpeness is home to a heathland Golf course and Country Club. During the warmer months there’s boating and kayaking on The Meare and the village is home to The Dolphin Inn, The Kitchen and a popular café next to the Meare.

A spectacular bungalow on the banks of the Meare, in the seaside village of Thorpeness. The interior is modern and designed to make the most of the view, with one large open plan room, incorporating kitchen, dining room and sitting areas, all looking out onto the stunning lake. Three sets of folding doors open out onto a warm south-facing deck that spans the width of the house. The garden is large and you can explore the 60-acre Meare on the rowing boat from our private jetty.
