This Madrid institution hosts regular jazz concerts, with bands usually playing week-long stints. It is a great place to discover great Spanish and international musicians. Performances start at around 9pm and tickets can be bought a few hours before.

Small bar with good live jazz. Better book a table. You can enjoy a drink or have dinner while listening to the music.

“La entrada es gratuita, pero las consumiciones son relativamente caras. 7€ la cerveza. Copas entre 12 y 22€ (según recuerdo). Si el grupo es bueno, compensa mucho. Es obligatorio pedir como mínimo una consumición.”

“The area is best known as Barrio de las Letras and is part of the historic Madrid, and the Madrid de los Austrias. Main spots, Plaza de Santa Ana, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Mercado de San Miguel, Royal Opera House and Royal Palace. Is a huge area with many historic monuments, museums, but also markets, shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. It can be a bit rowdy on weekends but is definitely one of the landmarks of Madrid.”
