One of the best things Chicago has to offer are its museums! A few are located super close to The Penthouse including the Museum of Science and Industry, DuSable Museum of African American History, as well as Adler Planetarium and the Field Museum. As exhibits change often, I encourage you to check what's available during your stay!

Not in the downtown area but worth the drive or train ride. The train exhibit is especially fun for children of all ages.

Great museum for all ages and interests. Lots to do, lots to touch, lots to explore from a really wide variety of themes in this museum.

You’ll want to experience this nearby wealth of information, technology and scientific exhibits. The Museum of Science and Industry is a great place to spend the day learning interesting facts through the various hands on exhibits. Don’t forget one of the museum’s most popular, the Coal Mine.
