This FREE park offers an incredible NYC experience. The park is built upon an abandoned metro line from the early-1900s. The views are spectacular and there are many nice shops and restaurants in the nearby area. If this is your first time visiting NYC, or you’ve never been here, you must go!

Walk on the rail converted into a park. Find treasures along the way-treats, musicians and great views! Amazing alternative to walking the avenue if you want a different perspective.

A once-abandoned elevated train track that was transformed into a crazy-popular, bucolic walkway. It’s 1.45-mile park’s gardens, taking in sweet views of the Hudson, the Whitney Museum of Art plenty of pretty flowers and plants that are mostly indigenous to the region.

Market
“Chelsea Market is a food hall, one of New York’s most notable food halls that boasts more than 35 vendors. While this hot spot for foodies and shopping addicts can get congested with tourists during peak hours, it’s worth throwing some elbows for Middle Eastern bites from Miznon, tacos from Los Tacos No.1 and halva from Seed + Mill. Aside from finger-lickin’ fare and sweet merchandise, the attraction offers historical charms such as the market’s iconic fountain, which was crafted using discarded drill bits and exposed pipe from the former Nabisco factory. ”

Park
“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”
