There's a public beach that runs along the lakeside of Gimli where you'll find a beach playground, beach volleyball courts, picnic tables, a snack hut and washrooms, etc.

With a vehicle not far from Winnipeg , nice beach area, great location to visit in summer , known for fish eaten in local restaurants.

Gimli's main Public Beach! with many local restaurants and shopping available within short walking distance near by. Located about 10 min walk or less from the cabin, there's also public change rooms, restrooms, and outdoor showers available for use, with many picnic tables, benches, and courts set up along the beach for volleyball or badminton, and a really nice large play structure for kids located right on the beach itself.

Great place to spend the day. Walk along the pier, filled with local artist paintings on the break water wall. Watch the boats come in. Check out the local shops and great eateries. The Icelandic festival in Gimli is a must see and do.
