Welcome to our well appointed private, sunny sleep out with large deck, park views, ensuite bathroom, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee facilities. A short stroll to city hub, bus depot and Trafalgar Centre, with a supermarket just down the street. The Airport bus stops just around the corner every 40 minutes, seven days a week. It stops near Tahunanui Beach on the way too. NB - you will need a Bee card or cash. Self check-in is offered and often early check-in or late check-out can be arranged.

Karaka studio is on the very edge of the Waimea Inlet with water twenty metres from your front door. Lie in bed and watch the tide come in. We are a private estuary island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafes, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.

Te Whare o Kea provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. The location also makes it perfect for a retreat. A non profit social enterprise and a Gold Kea Sponsor, guest stays have enabled over $20,000 worth of donations to the Kea Conservation Trust. It also supports monitoring of kea nest sites in the Cobb Valley and maintains a 17 trap trapline.
