To the front are stunning views towards Glenveagh National Park. A short distance from The Wild Atlantic Way, The Birdbox is ideal for a fun, peaceful getaway or a great base from which to explore Donegal.

Cosy Loft in the Trees

This gorgeous little hut is tucked into the upper corner of a hay barn and has the cosy feel of a treehouse. Set in a peaceful rural spot overlooking open fields, it offers a real sense of escape. Although close to other buildings where we live, it is completely private. Access is via two short flights of sturdy steps leading to a balcony. Kilkenny city is a 20-minute drive away, but a car is essential as there is no public transport. An ideal place to retreat and unwind.

The Swallow's return treehouse is seven foot up between sycamore trees to the rear of our home & has one flight of stairs. The treehouse is fully insulated & heated for all year comfort. The open plan bedroom has a double bed and a single bed which accommodate two adults with one young child The kitchen - dining area is fully equipped and is open planned. The sitting room has a wonderful view across countryside to the Irish sea and on to the Dublin - Wicklow mountains.

Situated close to the lake it is in the perfect location for a stroll in the forest and quick dip for the water lovers. It is also a sticks throw away from some of donegal’s nicest beaches. Please note there is currently no shower with this accommodation, there is an outdoor toilet, which is shown in the photos.

Tuckmill Treehouse

Self check in, taking extra measures to clean our space. Perfect place to hide away from all that's going on in the world. No TV, no wifi, no human interaction. Inside the Treehouse you will find luxury combined with nature. The treehouse has a bbq with an attached gas hob for outdoor cooking only, a bathroom with walk in shower plus a flushing WC, including constant hot-water and a gas fire, it is fully waterproof and insulated.
