Beautiful Breeze Cottage sits among the stunning hills of the Dargle Valley. It overlooks 3 tranquil dams, rolling pastures and an indigenous forest. There are cattle and horses in the fields, abundant bird life to enjoy and peacefulness to breath in. It's the perfect place to recharge while escaping the pressures of city life and with the Midlands Meander on our doorstep you can be as busy or as quiet as you choose. The farm is now fully off Eskom power so load shedding is a distant memory.

Cottage in private game reserve, Little Karoo

Off grid cottage set in the heart of the Little Karoo within the Touwsberg Nature and Game Reserve. The reserve is well known for it's biodiverse fauna and flora and stunning scenery. Located off Route 62, midway between Barrydale and Ladismith, accessible with an average car/sedan, that has at least 17cm off ground clearance. The Cottage is well equipped, with indoor fireplace, cosy and completely private - the perfect Winter stay. Note: cell/3G reception requires a 2 minute walk; no wifi.

This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Woodsong Cottage - Self Catering

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming. The cottage is not suitable from small children. The cottage is not pet friendly.

Smell the ocean, breathe in incredible views and never leave this most secret special hideaway. If you want a rustic albeit sometimes windy escape to restore your soul then it's for you. Please note you need to go down (and back up) 90 stairs to the property. You’ll love the cottage because of the spacious, private, setting on a working wine and fruit farm nestled against the mountains of Franschhoek Valley. Good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). You are welcome to explore the farm and even practice your chipping and putting skills on the green.There is an inverter to provide electricity during loadshedding periods.

Grysklip High Mountain Stone Cottage, Cederberg

This grey-stone cottage is built against a rock face which is a dramatic back wall for the interior. All the stone used for the walls was collected nearby, so the cottage disappears into the landscape. The views are spectacular in every direction. The interior is cosy with wooden floors and Cape furniture and Himalayan textiles. There are two 3/4 beds. The bathroom has a shower set against the rock-face, and there is a wonderful double outdoor bath.
