The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

The Weaving Shed Studio - a Shetland retreat

The Weaving Shed Studio is a small, very basic ground-floor apartment next to the glorious Weaving Shed Gallery, a private space which displays the work of the late Jeannette-Therese Obstoj. Jeannette loved Shetland and the restoration and refurbishment of the then-derelict Weaving Shed was carried out in her memory by the current owner, her partner Geoff. The studio apartment was designed as a simple retreat for creative writers and artists and is available to individuals and couples.

Mayar Cottage - 2 bedroom home in central Lerwick

Mayar is located in the heart of Lerwick and is a stones throw from all the town’s restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, parks and walks. The property, which sits within the Lerwick Conservation Area has recently been extensively refurbished. This was completed in January 2021, with modern decor and appliances throughout. Mayar is the perfect spot from which to explore Lerwick without the need for transport. Or as a central base if you are looking to explore all that Shetland has to offer.

Mavine Cottage, Lerwick, Shetland

A cosy stone built cottage, circa 1800, in a superb location on the outskirts of Lerwick. Gorgeous sea view, with the Sands of Sound beach just down the road and great access to coastal walks. Easy walking distance to Tesco and the Clickimin Leisure Complex, with Lerwick town centre only 1.25 miles away. There's a well equipped kitchen with a pully for drying clothes and also a good size living room. Mavine Cottage is a great base from which to explore all Shetland has to offer.

The croft is perfectly positioned to easily explore the nearby islands of Fetlar and Unst in addition to Lerwick. With sea views from each room and nature all around Virdyke offers the opportunity to reset and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and quietude of the Shetland landscape.

3 Swinister

In this peaceful location on a croft that’s got sheep and hens you will be located at Swinister which is situated at Ronas Voe near Ollaberry and Hillswick villages. The traditional croft house is divided into two self catering houses each with completely separate entrances and facilities. Ideal location for exploring Ronas Hill, Eshaness, Uyea and Fedaland to name only three of the Shetland beauty sites. There are fresh water lochs close by used by trout fishermen.

Situated across from a beautiful sandy beach sits the newly refurbished “Da Haaf”, a 4 bedroomed, light and airy spacious property. Da Haaf is in a lovely central location, situated just 10 minutes drive from Lerwick.

The Peerie Neuk is a sustainably built tiny eco home with all the comforts of a cosy house just a bit tinier! There is a double bed and fold out sofa, suitable for one adult or two children. There’s is a small kitchen with hob, kettle and little fridge (large enough for two bottles of prosecco 🤣). There is a wood burning stove with oven. The oven will keep things warm. There’s on demand hot water, shower and compost toilet.

This modern, comfortable self catering house is a great base for relaxing after a busy day exploring Shetland . Although it is an annexe to owners home it is completely private .There are spectacular views across the bay where seals ,otters and sometimes Orcas can be spotted. There is a small beach 2 minutes walk from the accommodation also a swimming pool and local shop within easy walking distance .
