You can sit outside under the trees. It's next to a quiet park so it's a very peaceful place to while away some time.
Just a short walk to the river to see the boats too.

This is my favourite local pub. It's a nice 10min walk from the flat via the hidden oasis of Shadwell Basin.
Great tasting and great value food - they do table service overlooking the Thames. Lots of guest beers. It can get busy during rugby matches, but never too rowdy.
The garden is best for coffee before midday - as it's in shade during the afternoon. Still a fab place to watch the boats go past.

The Prospect of Whitby

Great tasting and great value food - they do table service overlooking the Thames. Lots of guest beers. It can get busy during rugby matches, but never too rowdy.

They serve food and the pub quiz is good fun.
It's Christmas decorations are particuarly impressive!
Not the best for river views - try the Prospect of Whitby instead.
