A beautifully restored, award winning, working post mill within the South Downs National Park in the heart of the glorious Sussex countryside, open to visitors.
Open on the first Sunday of each month between April and October.*
In May, July and September, these are themed events with lots of special activities for adults and children. A free shuttle bus runs from the Thatched Inn Pub in Keymer for these events.
The windmill can readily be viewed from the adjacent public path.

Devil’s Dyke, just five miles north of Brighton, offers stunning panoramas, a record breaking valley, a curious history and England’s most colourful habitat.
At nearly a mile long, the Dyke valley is the longest, deepest and widest 'dry valley' in the UK. Legend has it that the Devil dug this chasm to drown the parishioners of the Weald. On the other hand, scientists believe it was formed naturally just over 10,000 years ago in the last ice age.
With a little exploring the Dyke's story starts to reveal itself: The ramparts or walls of the Iron Age hill fort can be seen when you walk around the hill and the remains of the curious Victorian funfair

Also dating back to the same time is Irongates Lock, built by the First Earl of Sheffield to allow navigation of the River Ouse.

Being able to see special objects and works of art and craft in the village where they were made is a rare opportunity. It offers a unique way to consider how the objects were made and who they were made for.

Filled with great food and friendly people, the Larder has a light and airy interior. Local organic chocolates and wines are also available. Situated at the foot of the South Downs, families often pick up hampers and picnic produce for their weekend walks.
