Uber, bus, shuttle & foot are fastest ways to get around.
Parking around the beach can be very expensive. Uber/ Lyfts cost approx. $ 8-10 to get to Hollywood Beach, Downtown Hollywood, Gulfstream Park. You can also catch the #4 bus at the corner of Golden Isles drive. It costs $2 and will take you the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk and Downtown Hollywood. The Circuit is a shuttle service offered by the city that runs throughout the day between Hollywood and the Hyde hotel in Hallandale. Download the Circuit app to use.

It's Broadwalk not Boardwalk
First-timers usually get this wrong and locals will nicely correct :) Hollywood is much different than Fort Lauderdale and especially South Beach. You will find a more casual, low back vibe in this area. People like to day drink and go with the flow. It's not as flashy as Miami, but still very very fun (and way less expensive)

Happy Hours and Groceries
Get to know times for area happy hours before you venture out. Most are between the hours of 4-6pm during the week, but it can vary. When buying groceries, Winn Dixie is far less expensive than Publix.
