This is very close by with reasonable prices. We have gone during happy hour and they have good deals if you sit at the bar. It can be a little heavy but it’s tasty.

Hiking

Beautiful walking trails by a pond, an old damn. There’s a small hilly section. Beaver activity, water birds. We saw a bald eagle once.

Old Wethersfield is a gem!!! Get ice cream at the Main Street Creamery & walk to the Cove warehouse for a beautiful sunset. This is the oldest town in CT, with lots of old houses dating back to the 17th & 18th centuries. Check out the Silas Deane house at the Webb Deane Stevens museum where George Washington had tea in 1775.
