City/town information
The city Antiguo Cuscatlan was given its name after the word Antiguo, which means ancient or old in Spanish, and Cuscatlán which means jeweled city in Nahuat. The city used to be the capital of the Pipil or Cuzcatecs, before the Spanish conquest of the New World.
In the city you may run into the Monumento Indio Atlacatl a sculpture dedicated to a leader who led the Indian armies against Spanish invasion of the country. It is a statue of made from bronze, and it has the face of Valentin Estrada, its creator. It symbolizes the power and the strength of people that fought during that period. It was for a long period of time placed on Independence Street, then it was moved to Parque Antiguo Cuscatlan. It is a beautiful piece of art that tells an important chapter of the country’s formation.
La ciudad Antiguo Cuscatlán recibió su nombre de la palabra Antiguo, que significa antiguo o viejo en español, y Cuscatlán, que significa ciudad enjoyada en náhuat. La ciudad solía ser la capital de los Pipiles o Cuzcatecos, antes de la conquista Española del Nuevo Mundo.
En la ciudad puede encontrarse con el Monumento Indio Atlacatl, una escultura dedicada a un líder que lideró los ejércitos indígenas contra la invasión española del país. Es una estatua de bronce, y tiene el rostro de Valentin Estrada, su creador. Simboliza el poder y la fuerza de las personas que lucharon durante ese período. Uber or Car rental
You can easily order an Uber or if you find yourself out of transportation options, please call the host in order to provide a local trusted source of transportation. Prior to arriving into El Salvador, you can arrange transportation with a preferred vendor DC Rent A Car 503-7950-0897 whatsapp or Facebook. They can pick you up from the airport and take you to the condo stay. They can also take you to the airport on the date of departure.

Shopping for groceries and you prefer to take your own bags. Feel free to borrow the hand bags hanging by the guest hallway bathroom. Also, if you want to head to the pool area, there's a cooler bag in the bottom kitchen cabinet next to the stove. Please place them back after its use. And for future guest use, please keep them clean.

Most places take credit cards. They are safe and easy to use. I also suggest having American money with you for smaller purchases. Please note that most restaurants include the tip in their bill. Please check your receipts at payment to ensure tip is included.

Luggage Placement on Arrival
The guest bathroom storage cabinet has space for one or two luggage's to be stowed on top. Feel free to place them there. Please be careful with scratching the ceiling paint with the luggage's.

Hola, Salud and Buen Provecho
Hola is the national greeting, but it sometimes can mean that they didn't understand or hear what you said. If that's the case, just repeat the words and speak loader.
Salud is the common cheers, but it can also mean goodbye. You can tell someone Salud when leaving their place.
Buen Provecho is translated to mean Bon Apetit or more literally, "to take advantage" of the meal because tomorrows meal isn't always guaranteed.
