Well, well...certainly the biggest attraction in AZ. It is about a 4 hour drive to the North rim from Phoenix. You can do a day trip if you leave early but would recommend an overnight stay up there.
It is certainly a must see. You can hike down the canyon or drive around to the different viewing points.
