GREAT coffee shop in Burnsville! Located right in downtown Burnsville on Main Street in the middle of tons of shops. If you’re visiting Burnsville for the first time, you have to visit Appalachian Java :)

Mount Mitchell brings visitors from all around the world to our area! It’s just under an hour drive from the Colonial Guest Rooms. But it will only feel like 20 minutes because every part of the drive is SO scenic. Want to feel like you’re on top of the world? Visit Mount Mitchell State Park! Mount Mitchell’s dramatic summit is the highest point east of the Mississippi at 6,684 feet. You HAVE to visit here if you haven’t before :)

WELL worth the scenic, short, hour drive to Craggy Gardens. This is HANDS DOWN the BEST overlook to enjoy the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains during the day or the most STUNNING sunset you will ever see at dusk. With lots of areas along your drive to pull off and view the mountains, and plenty of places to take a hike, Craggy Gardens holds a special place in our hearts :) Highly recommended going here!
