Beaches
Obviously, Cape Cod is known for its amazing beaches and you have some of the best within minutes of you. Located on the south side, the warm waters of Nantucket Sound are steps away. Beach chairs and beach games are located in the shed. Feel free to use and return before departure. Water hose is located in back yard for any quick spraydowns. Below are a few beaches close by but also explore other parts of Barnstable and even down Cape as well.

Hyannis Harbor – Typically busy with boats coming in and out and people looking to have a good time, bounce around these spots and you are in for a good day/night. If you’re lucky there may even be a concert or event on the green to take in. Baxter’s is right on the harbor with great seafood and signature mudslide. Black Cat/Shack Out Back is a great restaurant with chill outdoor bar/back patio. You can typically catch some live music and is also a good daytime/Sunday funday before you head home.

Some of our favorite Cape Cod day trips if you are up for a bigger adventure.
Down Cape – Looking to head down cape? I recommend driving Rt. 6A/ Old Kings Highway. You will get to pass through all the old town centers while you make your way out to dunes. If you love golf, Highland Links is a must. 9 holes located right on the ocean, this is the oldest course on Cape Cod and will make you feel like you’re in Ireland. After you are done with your round, make your way to The Beachcomber, an old time beach bar right on the dunes overlooking the Atlantic. Fun daytime spot to grab some cocktails /raw bar and make your way down to the beach afterwards. Lastly, wrap up your night at Mac Shack or The Pearl in Wellfleet center for some tasty oysters/ sushi.

Don’t pay the $$$ to stay on island when you can just cruise over in the AM and back that same night for a full day trip. Town Center has awesome shops to kill some time. We recommend grabbing a Goombay Smash at Straight Wharf or Mudslide at the Gazebo. Get some food at The Tavern or quick bite at Easy Street Cantina (Tacos Tacos). If you have some time on island, get up to Cisco Brewery. Super fun time at this unique spot just about 10 minutes outside of town. Lastly, it’s Nantucket so get to a beach, doesn’t matter which one.
Our second favorite island and just another boat ride across the sound. I recommend Edgartown but Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven have a lot to offer as well. Also known for renting scooters and giving yourself a tour or access to amazing spots all over the island.
