There are many hiking trails as well as easy walks and it's beautiful. There is the original farmhouse where the Ruckle family lived which is now a private working farm as you walk, drive or bike into the park.

This park has trails and a viewpoint. Driving up the road to the park is very rough since the road is unpaved with potholes and rocks. However there is a place to park before the worst of the road and then people can walk up to the park's viewpoint.

A park that is a natural area with walks through forest or fields and a beautiful bay. When you reach one of the beaches you can see the welcome poles. The Cowichan name for this area is Hwaqwum. There is parking at the end of a country road.

Cusheon Lake's water is usually warm and is partway along Cusheon Lake Rd with public access and some parking. There are no lifeguards at this or any other outdoor swimming area on Salt Spring. This small lake is very beautiful and is popular with locals.
