Food scene
You can walk up tot he Swan Hotel and Pub in about 25 mins from the Marina along Chertsey Lane (or a 5min taxi ride/drive). The pub overlooks the River Thames at Staines Bridge and done really great food with a terrace on the river bank.

A fabulous family friendly pub with a lovely garden out the back with a playground for children. Great food and drink. Not quite walkable sadly due to a dual carriageway in the way but a great bet for a nice dinner if you fancy venturing out of the Marina for some food.

Bluebells is a beautiful restaurant and one of my personal favourites in the area. It's about a 15 min taxi ride from the marina but if you're looking to go somewhere to celebrate something special like a Birthday or Anniversary this is the perfect upscale dining choice !

Sitting at the entrance to Penton Hook Marina the 'Yacht Club' is a friendly bar offering drinks and food at great prices with an outdoor garden that stretches down to the rivers edge. A chance to watch the boats coming and going in and out of the marina and a 10 min walk around the perimeter of the marina from where you'll be berthed for your stay .

Thorpe Park hardly needs any introduction, but if you're seeking thrill rides this is the place to go. Don't worry about paying for parking though, you can literally walk over the road from the marina to get there !

A beautiful lake set in Windsor Great Park that is a great place for a walk or a run around - it's just under 7km for a complete loop. There's parking, toilets and a great little cafe serving fresh hot food (a Bacon Sandwich from there in the morning with a Coffee is a local ritual)

Virginia Water Lake
A beautiful lake set in Windsor Great Park that is a great place for a walk or a run around - it's just under 7km for a complete loop. There's parking, toilets and a great little cafe serving fresh hot food (a Bacon Sandwich from there in the morning with a Coffee is a local ritual)
A sightseeing Charter on board the boat you're staying on is always an amazing way to see the River Thames and a way to surprise whomever you're staying with.
Charters are available from £75 per hour and include a skipper as your guide and captain (although be prepared to help when you get to a lock as there's work to be done to make our way up and down the River).
3hrs gets you down to Shepperton with time for a quick stop of at a pub (mooring space permitting)
6hrs gets you all the way up to Historic Windsor and Eton with views of the town, Windsor Castle and Eton College.
Pack yourself a picnic and bring a bottle along for a relaxing cruise along the river
*All charters are weather, conditions and equipment dependent and booked outside of Airbnb. If for any reason your charter can't go ahead, you'll of course get a full refund !
Whilst we only cater for two people staying the night, if you want friends to join you we can take up to 4 people out on a Charter.
