You can rent a basic car for about $35/day and these are easy to find on Expedia or Kayak. If you only need a car for a day or two it is possible to walk down the hill and around the corner you will find Scooter Bob's where you can pick up various rental vehicles.

There is a weekly fish fry held at the Bight (also known as Children's Beach) Park. Local restaurants have stands, but the food is usually cooked during the day and brought so it might not be the freshest. However, if it is lobster season then it is a great place to get a relatively inexpensive grilled lobster tail. Have a drink and listen to the DJ as well as browse some of the local souvenir stands. Also there is often a Junkanoo parade with intense dancing and local music.

Dining out can get pretty expensive rather quickly. Take a trip to the IGA grocery store on Leeward Highway to pick up breakfast items, meats and cheeses, and other snacks. My kitchen has everything you need and you can barbecue too. You can also help me keep my rates down by conserving water & electricity. Both are very expensive so I would appreciate it if you would turn off the air conditioner whenever you leave. With zoned a/c so you can choose to only cool the bedroom at night and with the windows and the sliding glass door open during the day, you will normally be quite comfortable.

There are beach towels and a washer and dryer in my place so you don't need to pack those. There is also an outdoor shower on the patio for rinsing off after the beach.

Both of these beachfront restaurants offer fresh conch taken right from the sea. There are also pony rides on the beach available next to da Conch Shack in Blue Hills and live music at Bugaloo's in Five Keys.

You will need to fill out Customs and Immigration Forms on the airplane before arrival and the airlines almost never have pens so be sure to bring one of your own.

Both of these services can be found on the TV. It is an Alexa TV as well so by pressing the microphone button on the controller you can have Alexa play music from Amazon and answer questions. Press it and watch for the color band at the top of the screen. Once you see it, hold down the microphone button and make your request. There are no other paid TV services and please don't order any or order movies as these are not included in the room rate.

There is a semi-submersible sub operating out of Turtle Cove that explores the nearby reef. If you are not a diver then this and Snuba are good alternatives to see the underwater world.

I have not checked out the rates, but this should greatly improve the price and availability of ride services if you choose not to rent a car.

If you like to have a cocktail or wine at your own place (think relaxing on the sun deck) you will be out of luck if you arrive on a Sunday and have not BYOB. Alcohol (which is very expensive on island anyway) is not sold in stores on Sundays so you might want to take a trip to Duty Free while on your way to TCI.
