Historic
Let’s just start with the beauty of this museum, inside and out there is art, artistry and local vistas to be taken in for the duration of your visit. This museum was effected by the 2008 flood experienced by Cedar Rapids. Afterward, the museum was moved up the hill to its current location keeping it safe from future flooding. The museum not only celebrates the culture, history and traditions of the Czech and Slovak community that settled in Cedar Rapids, it also works closely with new immigrant communities in the area to ensure their representation in our community. Worth a visit, plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here.

A fun gathering place that hosts a variety of food vendors that change periodically to keep you coming back and exploring. Most weekends Newbo hosts a variety of events from pop up vendor markets, movies, live outdoor music in the summer, festivals and a 10K/half marathon on Labor Day weekend. Never a dull moment in this area of the city.

This place is on of my FAVES! An arcade disguised as a pizza place. Half the restaurant is stocked with old school favs such as Tron, Galaga, Centipede, PAC Man, Ninja Turtles, Mortal Combat,Donkey Kong, Asteroids and so many more including at least 6 Pinball machines. They do get new arcade games in regularly so some games listed may not be on the floor at the time of your visit. Now for the food, this restaurant boasts artisan pizza, most of which can be made vegetarian, fun appetizers and their own beer brewed on site! Worth the visit!

Cheyenne Off-Leash Dog Park is off the beaten path on the south side of town. It offers a small dog yard, a training yard and large socializing yard with lots of trees at the back of the park for shade on warm days. Bring your own jug of water, bowls are provided around the park.
