Wonderful Brazilian comfort food. The family restaurant serves the best Brazilian tapas their is in Sweden. Don't forget to consume lots of caipirinhas and take a stroll along the canal floating just outside (you'll see a beautiful white castle on the other side used by the Swedish Armed Forces).

Make sure you take the "Toast Skagen Original" as a starter, then follow up with Biff a la Rydberg, Wallenbergare or simply Swedish meatballs as the main. Skip the dessert. Good to know: Prinsen is a classic spot for business men and lawyers (no need to dress fancy however), prices are as such pretty high if you go there for lunch.

Don't forget to dare try the Swedish speciality pickled herring, an essential part of most Swedes Christimas, Easter and Midsummer dinners. And since you are eager to discover a traditional Swedish dish like picked herring you can't pass the proper accompanying beverage: Aquavit. Ask for the waiters advice on what aquavit to try, open up the conversation by saying that you have heard "Bäska droppar" is the kindest to aquavit newbies. :)

At NK's lunch restaurant and café Botanique you find great lunch sallads (take the elevator to the top floor). My favourite sallad right now: "Umami bomb". The place is run by Björn Frantzén, the master mind and head chef of Frantzén (the only three star restaurant in Sweden).

Getting Around
The metro station closest to our apartment is "Fridhemsplan". Don't go all the way to the black spot on the map to the left though, just walk to the mall "Västermalmsgallerian" and you'll find the metro station underneath it (much closer to our apartment).
