This great winery has a lovely fine dining restaurant, and the palazzo pumps out good pizza. It gets very busy. This is a great place to visit in a group or with kids. The grounds are lovely and you can wander around the sculpture park with a glass of vino in hand. There is an annual sculpture competition https://montalto.com.au/sculpture/sculpture-prize/

This is a very special fine dining experience. Truly excellent and not cheap. Only marred by the waiters listing every ingredient in your dish...... Great for anniversaries, birthdays or a special lunch/dinner.

Gourmet sandwiches, coffee, ice creams, but also everything you need to make your own delicious lunch/dinner/breakfast - whether you forgot the capers, miso or spanish Jerez vinegar, don't worry - it'll be here. Truly excellent fruit, veg, wine, some meats and the cheese selection is astounding. Look out for produce from Dee's kitchen - she's the wife of the owner and has a fabulous place in Dromana for amazing Middle Eastern/Mediterranean Breakfast, brunch, lunch - 3pm.

Come for the cheese platter, browse the goodies in store, and you'll go home laden with delicious local cheeses and preserves. The goats are delightful and in the paddock next door. Lovely setting and good coffee.

YUM! This is authentic Italian food. The wood fired pizza is on high rotation, dishes of the day reflect the local food available - mussels, calamari, the pasta is al dente and the risotto creamy and soothing. Great place to come with family, kids, couples, groups. You will need to book. We'll often have dinner here on the way home to Melbourne. Highly recommended and consistently good.

Parks & Nature

Check that it's low tide and make sure you've got waterproof shoes then walk out on to the reef and look for limpets, crabs, and just explore. It's a nature reserve so leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but photographs :)

During summer, you'll need to pay $2 to park your car (this supports the local life saving club). Kids love rolling/surfing down the huge sand dunes, it's a long and lovely beach, usually clean of weed and in swimming season is manned by the surf live savers. There's often a small wave for kids/adults to body surf. Better surfing further out (apparently). Take the SUP, canoe etc and make a day of it. No trees, so take a tent/umbrella, pack your lunch and enjoy.
