The hilly village of Lefkes is located almost in the center of the island, in a 250m height and 11km from Parikia. It is a beautiful village, built amphitheatrically in the mountain’s banks. When you arrive in the village you have no other choice but to leave your car in the parking area. A walk in thetraditional settlement shows the uniqueness of Lefkes. You will find many byzantine churches of the 15th and 16th centuries A.D. with the church of Aghia Triada of the marble temple and the valuable Byzantine icons to be the most important of all.For those who love trekking you should not miss the Byzantine path that connects Lefkes with Prodromos. It was built 1000 years ago and has paving tiles made of marble and will guide you to a magnificent natural landscape with olive groves and myrtles.

Naoussa that used to be a fish village is located in the north part of the island 10km from the capital. It is built around a beautiful, safe, little port. This graphic port is a real ornament for the island. For many it’s the most beautiful and picturesque small port of the Aegean sea. For others it’s the heart of the island’s nightlife.The best spot in the town is the small port with fishboats waiting for their captain to sail.In its entrance is located the Enetic castle built in the 14th century. Around the port there are old fish storehouses that now have turned into bars, taverns and restaurants.From Naoussa you can easily approach the most famous beaches of the island.South of Naoussa is located the most famous beach of the island, Kolibithres.

Piso Livadi is a traditional fishing village. This is about 6 km far away from the house and is ideal place for dinner, lunch or to drink a coffee near the sea. Also there is a very nice sandy beach wich is ideal for children and families.

Only 2 km from the house is in Dryos village.The restaurant offers traditional Greek food with pure ingredients from the island. It has a great variety of food every day and you can enjoy it there or take it with you at home.In this case it is an ideal economic solution so that you do not have to bother with cooking.

The tavern is located on Dryos beach ( Dryos village) on the right side of the beach. It has a beautiful sea view. It offers very good traditional Greek food at very reasonable prices.I highly recommend it.

It is located on the ring road, only 6 from the house. Fantastic food at good prices. I recommend it for dinner because it does not have a special view but has a beautiful courtyard.

Beaches located near the house
The most beautiful beaches of the island are located the south-west and west places of the island. Due to the fact that the wind usually blows from North to South, the sea is calm, without big waves. The most beaches are sandy both outside and inside and relatively shallow, so they are ideal for children and sea games. In this section I suggest beaches that are close to the house and at a distance of up to 10 km faraway.Of course there are other very beautiful beaches on the other side of the island, which you should visit but they are further away and you will need to drive more than 30 minutes.
Probably the most beautiful beach on the island. The distance from the house is only 6 km .Sandy with shallow blue waters. Very organized, with umbrellas, beach chairs, beach bars, and restaurants and ski school, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Quiet and one of the beaches without many beach bars, loud music etc. There is only one beach bar and tavern. Lolantonis beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island.

Only 1km fro the house ( 3 min by car and 15 min by feet) there is Lolantonis beach. Sandy beach with shallow waters ideal for children but also for adults and families. Quiet and one of the beaches without many beach bars, loud music etc. There is only one beach bar and tavern. Lolantonis beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island.
Relatively small beach compared to the rest of the island. It has small pebbles on the outside and deepens relatively sharply on the inside. It is not ideal for very young children but it is quiet and ideal for swimming since you do not need to walk to find deep water.It is an ideal proposal for lunch after swimming because there are 2-3 very good taverns on the beach
