Food scene

Taste the famous Sally Lunn bun, a large, light brioche that’s part bun, part bread, part cake made freshly in the house where she lived in 1680. Not to be confused with the ‘London Bath Bun’ which is entirely different!

A popular one with cyclists but you can walk it too. It’s a 12 mile loop starting in the centre of Bath, going through two tunnels, over Tucking Mill viaduct, past the Dundas Aqueduct on the canal and back along the river. One of the tunnels is just over a mile long and is the longest walking/cycling tunnel in the UK. You can find out more about the route on sutrans.org.uk.
