Fran war ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, der eine Arbeits Dame ist, die Schlüssel mit ihren Nachbarn zu verlassen, der darauf wartet wurde uns bei unserer Ankunft zu begrüßen. Als Fran um 18.30 Uhr zu Hause angekommen stellte sie sich und nahm Terrasse ein Glas Wein auf unserer wunderschönen sonnigen und nicht gastfreundlicher sein können. Das Frühstück war für Saft mit selbstgebackenem Brot, Eier, serielle und Obst zu sterben und alle für £ 45 für uns beide. Wählerisch zu sein die auf Suite Klo war ein wenig klein und man mußte springen in dem Spiegel zu sehen! Wir werden wieder bei der nächsten in der Lage.(URL HIDDEN)

Fran is a fantastic host and her home is a lovely, relaxed place to stay. There is a wonderful family atmosphere and Fran and her family made us feel incredibly welcome. Fran was very helpful with giving us recommendations of places to go, and the house was a great location for driving out to the attractions of the Jurassic Coast. The room is very comfortable and had everything we needed, as well as access to the pretty garden. I would highly recommend staying here!

This is a beautiful cottage with beautiful views. The little touches are wonderful! The bread and the cake and everything is just so well thought out. Had amazing sleep in the bed too! Did not want to leave and hope to return soon.

Leuk vakantiehuis. Schoon en comfortabel. In ongerepte omstandigheden, maar toch vol van karakter. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis om Dorset te verkennen. Het huis is ideaal voor een gezin met kinderen. De tuin is ruim en volledig omheind, zodat we konden laten de kinderen de vrije loop zonder zorgen. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor jonge kinderen (van kinderen bestek aan zwoegde vervoeren. En speelgoed ook!). De omgeving is rustig en ontspannen, met een prachtig uitzicht. De supermarkt en het stadscentrum liggen op slechts een paar minuten rijden. Erg handig. Gastheren zijn zeer behulpzaam en aanspreekbaar zijn. Het sterk aanbevelen!

Groot huis en de omliggende locatie. Ideaal voor een weekendje weg of, zoals we hadden gewild, veel langer :-). Het was geweldig om te zitten in de lounge als de zon opkwam om te worden bezocht door alle van de omliggende natuur. Het huis was zeer schoon en we genoten van elke minuut van ons verblijf hier.

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in dit huis met onze drie jonge kinderen. Het was een prachtige onlangs gerenoveerde woning met alle voorzieningen, veel ruimte en een lovelt grote tuin met een prachtig uitzicht. Helen en Westrow zijn perfecte gastheren, in contact zeer snel en er waren tal van mooie onverwachte details die toegevoegde waarde voor ons verblijf. Zou zeker aanbevelen deze mooie eigenschap dat is een goede uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te zien

The lodge comfortably accommodated our party of five adults and was a real pleasure to visit. It is beautifully furnished and was immaculately clean for us on arrival. The location is quiet and secluded but a supermarket and other amenities are only a short drive away. Westrow is a caring and considerate host who made us feel very welcome.

Perfect accommodation. Immaculately clean, well equipped. Good base to explore or just relax. Contact with Westrow and Helen before and during our stay was instant and we can certainly recommend the chocolate cake awaiting us on arrival!

We visited North Lodge for a walking trip over the bank holiday and had an amazing stay. The house was well equipped and cozy with a great wood burning fire. We appreciated the extra touches - fresh lemon cake and bread on arrival and suggestions of scenic walks in the area. Highly recommend!

Lisa hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und hätte uns nur ZU gerne morgens mit einem "hot breakfast" verwöhnt. Wir assen aber meist ausswärts. Das Cottage ist sehr schön eingerichtet und im Kühlschrank und in den Schränken stehen leckere Knabbereien zurverfügung. Leider hatten wir nicht gross Platz um unsere Kleider zu verstauen, da der Schrank klemmte. Ansonsten wars ne tolle Lage und sicher empfehlenswert.

Eh bien, tous les commentaires que je lis avant la main ont été positifs et donc était mon expérience. Lisa est un hôte chaleureux qui était très accueillant, mais aussi m'a donné une intimité totale, le combo parfait. literie de haute qualité, des rideaux, des serviettes et des articles de toilette. Réfrigérateur rempli fantastiquement. Cuisine bien équipée, mais pas une cuisinière (micro-ondes à la place). Cependant il y avait la possibilité de cuisiner dans le chalet principal avec Lisa. cadre absolument magnifique. Pas de commerces dans le village, mais un court trajet en voiture vous emmène à Blandford Forum et Sling M & S et beau centre-ville avec des bâtiments intéressants. Une vraie trouvaille.

This was our memorable experience even for just one night. It was only 20 minutes driving from cluds hill. As you can see the pictures, her house and garden give us so delightful time and the fulfillment. You should stay for three days more. We learened British people's dawelling houses were more excellent than famous archtecture. Lisa is very kind and cheerful person with much knowledge about gardening, architkuture,cooking and roads. We hope to visit again.

We had a fantastic stay here with our one year old daughter. Lisa was everything you could want from a host, making us feel very welcome. The supplies on the room were a lovely touch and the cooked breakfast delicious. Our daughter loved the dogs but you could see they were very well trained. Lisa gave us lots of useful infomation about places to visit in the local area and the Ice cream gardens are a treat not to be missed! Would definitely recommend.

We wanted a little hideaway so we could get out of London, relax and breathe some fresh country air. We got exactly that with Lisa's beautiful, cosy cottage. The cottage was exactly as described, small but perfectly formed and a great deal of effort has gone into the design and finishing touches. From the super soft pillows, to the high quality cosy blankets through to the beautiful smelling Molton Brown shower gel, it's wonderfully luxurious. Lisa made us feel welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived, going over and above anything I had expected or experienced previously. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and Lisa gave us sons wonderful tips of where to go on our day trips to see the beauty of this area of the country. The only thing I would say is that you would probably need a car as I'm not sure if there is much close by to walk to (we had a car so we were totally fine and of course I could be wrong so best to check) The Annexe was stocked with lovely treats which were such a pleasant surprise but again, gave the feeling of a home from home. I really hope my review does this place justice as I cannot recommend the annexe highly enough.

We have the most pleasant stay despite it being a short one. We really enjoyed the lovely garden as well. Lisa has been the most considerate host and provided just everything we needed.

If you are considering staying with Lisa - stop hesitating and do your best to book in here! We just spent 3 nights in the beautifully decorated and well stocked annex and just loved it... The annex is in the most beautiful location and there are some incredible restaurants - we are foodies and came away very happy! Lisa cannot do enough for you - the kitchen is stocked with so many treats including beers, chocolate, breads, fruit and yogurts, among other things and if she offered you some 'eggs' you will be sure to receive the best full English breakfast you've ever tasted! We are already looking for when we can take our springer spaniel back for another relaxing retreat. Thank you so much Lisa!

Claire was the perfect host. After arriving late and a long day on the bike, Claire did everything to make my short stay comfortable and relaxing. The loft room I stayed in is lovely and very comfortable.

Claire was absolutely charming and made me feel very welcome. The room and bathroom (on the top floor) was lovely - although staircase was very steep and narrow. The room felt very private and tucked away. Clean and comfortable. 5 minutes walk from the centre of Blandford - so very convenient. Really enjoyed staying and would definitely go back.

My father stayed on this trip not me! These are my dad's comments! Claire was a great host. My stay here was very relaxed and welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and I was free to access the kitchen as I required. Blandford is a friendly easy going town and its Georgian buildings make for a picturesque setting. Claire offered to drive me to the bus stop for my trip to the Steam Fair, showing what a kind generous host host she was.

Claire was an absolutely super host. The room was so clean and well set up. We loved the bathroom being almost part of the room- it's very romantic! Breakfast in the morning was great! We chatted and chatted. Claire is such an interesting, well-travelled, knowledgeable person- we left knowing much more than when we came. My husband fell in love with her cats! We would certainly stay at hers again if we were visiting that part of UK again. It was a great location- enabled us to visit Isle of Purbeck and the coast, and also Stourhead and Stonehenge. Lisa est très sympathique, serviable hôte. Elle a vraiment fait nous sentir à la maison. Merci à elle que nous avons passé un merveilleux après-midi et le dîner sur la côte. Le B & B est entouré d'un magnifique jardin dans un joli village dans le Dorset et permet de rejoindre facilement la côte jurassique, Corfe Castle et Rock Old Harry où profiter des promenades étonnantes, soit Stonehenge aussi. Le chalet est une annexe privée et confortable, avec un grand lit double fée, un petit salon confortable bien fourni pour le petit-déjeuner et une salle de bains privative avec douche. Matelas et coussins sont littéralement meilleurs que nous ayons jamais dormi! et le chant des oiseaux nous a donné un doux réveil.

If you are looking for a storybook English countryside home, then look no further. The home is so beautiful and the gardens are lovely! And Lisa is an amazing hostess!! She is so kind and you can tell that she really enjoys her guests and wants to make their stay the best possible (which ours was). The room we had was wonderful and the amenities plenty. The bed was a beautiful four poster bed with a very comfortable mattress and high quality bedding. The sitting room has two comfortable club chairs and is a really lovely place to sit and drink a cuppa. There is a mini fridge, which Lisa had stocked full of yummy treats. The garden was a beautiful place to sit and have breakfast. You can enjoy the fresh air, the birds singing, and the view. I would highly recommend this place, and would love to return in the future.

This was my first experience using AirBnB. Claire made me feel very welcome. I had a wedding nearby and the cottage was a couple minutes walk down the road. I would recommend to anyone going near Blandford.

Claire's home is a charming cottage in Dorset, walking distance to everything, nature, village and pub :-). The room was large, clean and access to kitchen and bathroom very easy. We made our own dinner that evening in Claire's kitchen. Claire was helpful with whatever small issue we had, and her cats charming! And don't forget to ask to see her wonderful back yard! We can warmly recommend Claire's cottage to others!

Excellent host, Claire makes you feel right at home. The room, bathroom, and kitchen clean and tidy. It was my first time in the UK and she took the time to explain everything to me. Maybe the best part is that she is one of the most interesting persons you will ever meet.

We really enjoyed our week at the cottage. Tea, coffee and milk were supplied and a delicious homemade cake. It was clean and comfortable and very tastefully decorated. There were some good local pubs for meals. We liked the peaceful location in the middle of the countryside.

It's as idyllic as they describe, a lovely place to relax and unwind. The cottage was spotless and warm when we arrived, with milk in the fridge and a homemade cake on the table. Perfect.

This cottage is perfect if you want to get away from it all. Just do a shop before you go so you can just relax in the countryside. Lovely location for walking, drawing and the log fire makes it cosy in the evenings.

Das Dorf war malerisch und war voller Charakter und wir würden Dorset auf jeden Fall wieder besuchen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr in der Hütte genossen und würde es einem Freund empfehlen.

Great little cottage set in a beautiful little village. Had all the amenities you need, going to miss the underfloor heating. Lovely woodlands walks and only 15-20mins from various great pubs. Perfect little retreat and welcoming hosts, not forgetting the yummy lemon drizzle cake! Thank you x

We've just had a week in this gorgeous country cottage. Jon was the perfect host, great welcome and then left us to enjoy the cottage as if it was our home. The area is really beautiful, great walks, pubs, farm shop up the road and close enough to beaches. Hilton village is lovely, very friendly and quiet, dog walking off the lead in the field behind the cottage and lovely walks right from the door. We highly recommend!

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche bei Rambler Hütte. Das Haus wurde sehr gut renoviert, und fühlt sich sehr gemütlich und gut durchdacht. Wir haben alle zu Fuß in dem Buch, dass Christine liebevoll zusammengestellt hat, und unser Hund hatte eine wunderbare Zeit mit so viel Freiheit, um sicher die umliegenden Felder erkunden dann später vor dem Feuer kollabieren. The Fox Inn auf der Straße war überaus freundlich, mit gutem Essen. Jon ausgewogen um und verfügbar erforderlich sein, wenn sie mit auch viel Privatsphäre zu geben, was für eine freundliche und wunderbare Gastgeberin.

This charming coaching inn has been set up perfectly as a holiday home. The downstairs is comfortable with plenty of soft furnishings and a great reading corner. There is a lovely family dining area and the kitchen has an oven fit for purpose, two fridges and a Nespresso coffee machine! The upstairs is very clean with a large family bathroom and a room fully equipped for two children, including toys and books. A comfortable first floor lounge and two further bedrooms on the top floor with another smaller bathroom. It is right on the town but access to the surrounding beauty of Dorset is a short drive away! The garden is a walk from the house but nice and plenty of space for parking. Hilary was an excellent host. We didnt meet her but she provided detailed information in advance and left us a great bottle of wine and shortbread as a welcome gift. We would definitely recommend staying here! We would love to come back.

Our stay in the Old Red Lion cottage last weekend was perfect. The house was immaculate and provided everything that we needed. It was spacious enough for 8 of us as well with a large lounge and kitchen area - something I was conscious of when trying to find a cottage for 8 grown ups! The location was also perfect with being walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants - quiet at the same time though. We also ventured out and visited the beach in Swanage, corf castle and the Tank museum - all of which I recommend ! All in all a great weekend!

Colin and Jean are lovely hosts. The double room is clean, neat and tidy and the bed comfortable. The use of the single room as well makes it great for a small family. The house is an easy walk to the centre of Blandford. Easy communication and goo value.

The place is tidy and quiet, Colin and Jean are really friendly. We came at night at about 10 pm, they waited us patiently and offered us hot teas to warm up, that was sooo sweet.

We had to decided to extend our trip once back from the Isle of Wight before heading home and Colin was very accommodating accepting our request at short notice. The place was lovely, a great place to stay for a quiet visit. Very useful guide from colin to get some food and very comfortable nights stay for us all Even made special accommodations for our 1 year old son. Colin and his wife were so friendly and very helpful. Their house was warm, very very clean and comfortable. Despite tha fact I was in Blandford on business, they let me be relaxed.

Jo is a really attentive, generous host. She went out of her way to ensure I had a comfortable visit, even picking me up from the bus stop and dropping me off in the morning! Jo didn't have to do any of that, and I'm so grateful for her kindness. I felt welcome in Jo's home. The room is spacious and bright, and access to the bathroom is convenient. A perfect weekend away in the English countryside. Patty was a perfect host. The estate is quite simply beautifully. I cannot recommend Patty’s Coach House enough. I hope to get a chance to visit again soon.

A very warm welcome from Gorden when we arrived and Patty and Gorden couldn't have been more accommodating. The accommodation had everything we needed and is in a beautiful setting in rural Dorset.

Gordon was a very welcoming and helpful host. The Coach house was a delightful, homely space with everything we needed for a short break situated in beautiful grounds. There are lots of lovely walks in the surrounding area with some spectacular views and a friendly local pub. The Jurassic coast is also in easy reach by car. We would highly recommend The Coach House for a relaxing break in the Dorset countryside.

The Coach House was perfect for us. It was a cosy getaway for 2, with great walking in the surrounding stunning scenery. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and the grounds were beautiful. Patty was exceptionally responsive and helpful.

Patty's place is gorgeous. The reality is even better than the pictures. If you some time off from the city, then there is no doubt this would be the perfect place for you. Patty did everything to make our stay comfortable and went beyond expectations when we asked where we could buy some food for breakfast and she just offered to get us everything we wanted. The house is just beautiful and the surroundings are stunning. If you like to go for a walk or just enjoy a lazy day this is a great place to be. Jurassic cost is not too far away and there are many little villages/towns around worth visiting. All in all it was the best place of our vacation in the UK.

We loved our stay - we were attending a wedding at The Victorian Barn a few minutes down the road so the location was perfect. Both Doug and Darryl were very hospitable and genuinely warm people. The beautiful house is located within easy reach of the surrounding villages and the room is very well appointed with an incredibly comfortable bed and en-suite shower room. We stayed one night only but started our day with a coffee in the room and were cooked a delicious breakfast by Doug. The hosts are great company and seemingly always happy for a lengthy chat! A brilliant listing, and we would happily stay again if ever we found ourselves in the area.

Het huisje zelf is een omgebouwde schuur gedaan om een zeer hoge standaard. Het huisje had mooie grote ramen met een fantastisch uitzicht op het platteland. Het huisje is zeer kindvriendelijk met veel kinderboeken die mijn nichtjes genoten. Hoewel we erg laat in het bereiken van het huisje, Nick zorgde ervoor dat we de toegang tot het en reageerde op elk sms ik hem stuurde. Al met al een geweldige gastheer en een geweldige cottage.

The cottage is spacious and well equipped. We were 2 couples and 1 toddler and the space worked really well for us, the only surprise was not to have a garden. There are lovely views across the countryside and the open fire was a treat on the rainy days. NB there is no TV licence, so don't visit during your favourite sporting event!

I have to say, this was the most amazing week, I couldn't have asked for more! The cottage was beautiful, the surroundings idyllic and the ease of booking, easy! In terms of the cottage itself, it was clean and well equipped and exactly as advertised. Nick's father next door was very lovely and we felt totally at home. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Nick made everything clear around the check in. He made a trip to see us on the second day to welcome us and make sure we had everything we needed. The area is wonderful and the amenities very good.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Randypole cottage just outside the picturesque village of Milton Abbas. Stay was very comfortable and everything was as described in the review, if not better!

We loved staying at Nick's cottage. It was perfect for our needs (two families with young kids). I took my daughter down to meet the horses and the surrounding area is beautiful. It's so quiet at night - I slept so well! The house has everything you need and is a lovely place for a holiday. Nick was great to deal with and very quick to respond to my many queries! Thanks for a great stay :)

We know Milton Abbas well - it is one of the most picture postcard villages in England. I was thrilled to discover The Engine Room on airbnb and from the outset Sharon was brilliant. We extended our booking and all along the way our host was flexible and friendly and very helpful. The Engine Room is lovely and had every facility and comfort possible. I wouldn't hesitate recommending The Engine Room to anyone - we will return again and again.

Great for a nice quiet, simple weekend away. Set in a lovely village with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend, comfortable and homely. Highly recommend the village pub.

What a beautiful find! We loved our stay in the Engine room and were sad to have only spent the weekend. It provided us with a perfect escape from the city and an excellent base for exploring the coast. The village of Milton Abbas is peaceful and quaint, and local pub has amazing food. The engine room itself is cosy and wonderfully decorated, with a kitchen and coffee machine! It has its own sunny private courtyard, which was a perfect setting for breakfast. We have already recommended our stay here to many of our friends and will continue to do so! Thanks Sharon for a very relaxing and memorable stay.

Moi et mon copain fait un dernier plan de minutes pour descendre à Dorset pour le week-end de Londres. Nous ne avait trouvé le Engineroom disponibilité que nous étions sur l'autoroute et Sharon a été immédiatement fois incroyablement serviable et sympathique. Nous avons eu quelques difficilement traiter notre paiement trop et Sharon était vraiment serviable et understanding- elle a contacté bnb d'air pour nous et se est assuré que tout était réglé. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à la salle des machines plus tard cette nuit ce était exactement ce que nous cherchions. Dans le village le plus magnifiquement pittoresque et l'écoute avec beaucoup de soins et d'attention aux détails. Malheureusement, nous ne pouvions rester pour une nuit mais aimerions y retourner. Ce est un vrai bijou.

The cottage was lovely and Milton Abbas has to be seen to be believed. Its like stepping into a postcard. Perfect!! Great base for exploring - the cottage is perfect size for 2 people. I would recommend Sharon and her cottage to anyone wanting a break in Dorset.

Myself and my friend David really enjoyed our stay in Milton Abbas. The engine room was a great space and in a really nice setting. Would happily go back and certainly recommend it!

L'emplacement est incroyable. Calme, belle et un peu surréaliste, ce est comme si vous avez entré dans une peinture. Puis le lieu lui-même est très confortable. La salle des machines ressemble trois fois plus grand que l'extérieur (quand à l'intérieur), et a été magnifiquement conçu pour vous donner tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour un court séjour loin. Tant de soin et de la pensée a été mis en rendant le lieu confortable et relaxant, surtout après une journée sur la plage ou marcher dans les falaises. Sharon était toujours à portée de main si nécessaire, et nous a fourni avec du lait gratuit, pain et beurre à l'arrivée. Ne oubliez pas de prendre un repas au pub local - vous serez impressionné par la qualité de la nourriture!
