The flat is just off of Shepton's quiet pedestrianised lower High Street. It's good for couples and families (with kids) or for friends travelling together. There's a sitting room, double bedroom, and second bedroom with a bunk bed. The bunk bed has a single bed on the top level and a double on bottom. Kitchen with cooker, fridge and washing machine. The bathroom has a bath and an electric shower. There is street parking, after you book we will send you a map with parking areas marked.
The flat can accomodate five people in three beds, two doubles and one single. A great option for anyone travelling on a tight budget.
Shepton is a quiet market town and the flat is tucked away behind the pedestrianised part of the High Street. In Shepton you will find a Tesco and an Aldi, both open until 10pm. There is also a smaller branch of the Co-Op shop, a Post Office, a branch of Lloyds bank, a library (yes, a real one that hasn't been closed down!) a Tesco petrol station, a pharmacist (open until 7pm), a GP surgery, NHS and private dentists, lots of independent local shops and some lovely places to eat! We have several good pubs (catering for different tastes), restaurants and takeaway shops. On Friday mornings you can visit the local market. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there is a bigger farmer's market in Wells, which is easily reachable by car or bus, only 15 minutes away. There is a beautiful public park at the top of the High Street, a lovely spot for a stroll with children complete with a playground and a pond full of ducks, so make sure you take some duck food!
John couldn't have been more helpful with providing us with local information and even provided a map of local amenities and short cuts. Also providing us with alternative routes to visit to avoid any heavy traffic. Location was perfect for our needs and we would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area.
