Posledních cca 200 m může být příjezdová cesta ve špatném stavu, bahnitá/zamrzlá/zasněžená, ale s opatrností sjízdná, záleží na aktuálním počasí.

K domu přiléhá oplocená zahrada s posezením, houpačkami pro děti, grilem, udírnou a venkovním ohništěm. Dům je v klidné části ve svahu nad obcí. V místě se nachází obchod s potravinami, restaurace, půjčovny kol a lyží, zastávka hromadné dopravy a ski busů do Janských Lázní a Pece pod Sněžkou. Před domem je vyhrazené parkoviště pro dvě vozidla hostů.
