Recently restored, the Bed&Breakfast Al Canal is an oasis of tranquillity and peace in the heart of Venice, the Giudecca island, out of the crowded and noisy touristic itineraries.
In 15 minutes you can reach St. Mark square, train station, piazzale roma or tronchetto parking car station by waterbus that runs every 10 minutes.
The B&B is named "al Canal" since it faces a large canal and is located on the ground floor of a typical Venetian 17th century building.
2 double-bedded rooms (extra bed on request), fully furnished with linen and towels, can accomodate single guest or families (cribs and extra-bed available).
The spacious bathroom with shower is shared by the guests.
A Venetian courtyard welcomes the guests with its beautiful flowers: an ideal place for relaxing with a drink after a day of sightseeing.
Continental breakfast is included and during the warm season it can be served in the garden.
The B&B al Canal is an ideal place where to spend a vacation in a quiet and economic way, here you get to know a popular and genuine Venice. It is personally run by the owner, a “pure venetian” lady who will provide you with suggestions about the most secret and magical parts of the city, where everything is art.
Leaflets and brochures are always available with informations about art shows, concerts, exibitions.
Internet wifi free connection.
We had a great time at B&B Canal Venice and I would recommend it to every traveler:)
Francesca was able to provide nice tips about the city, what pass to buy, where to eat, etc. She was very welcoming and available. The instruction she sent us to reach the place were very clear.
We got the "garden" room, with two windows on the house's garden, very relaxing and nice light in the morning. The room was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a good night after exhausting days :) There is another room in the house, with a view on the canal, maybe even more romantic, especially in summer. We took all our breakfast in the garden, it was really nice.
La Giudecca is a long island just in front of the "main" island of Venice. It was an old industrial area, much more authentic, with few tourist, nice restaurants... and still a lot of canal to visit! We loved to stay here.
Great to get out of the crowd and see something more "Italian".
It is very convenient to reach the heart of Venice. Bus boats will bring you at St Marc in 15min (day and night). La Giudecca is well connected to the city and by staying here you can have a better overview of Venice.
You can even enjoy a drink with an amazing view at the hotel Hilton Molino Stucky, right behind Francesca’s place. It was built in an old pasta and flour factory, nice to visit :)
Francesca was a wonderful hostess. She gave us perfect directions to her B&B and we were there in no time from the train station. It is only a short vaporreto trip from the station and less than a 5 minute walk to the B&B.
Francesca's place was spotlessly clean and nice and cosy. A light breakfast is provided right to your room by Francesca at what ever time you prefer between 8 and 10 am. Her little back garden is a real treat as well.
Francesca can give you perfect directions for anywhere in Venice. She knows the city well and can supply excellent advice on what to see and where to eat.
The isle of Guidecca where the B&B is located is away from the crowds and nice an quiet after a busy day of seeing the sight. The are several nice restaurants with in walking distance.
We very much enjoyed our stay with Francesca and recommend it highly.
Francesca's place is comfortable, charmingly decorated and good location. There's garden in the house's area and the other side is the small canal. The garden must be very nice in the summer. (We went there in winter, so is the different moods. From the house can walks just a few minutes to the boat station that you can see the the whole city from there, very beautiful. Internet quite slow in the bedroom, but you can find the right spot to sit and use it. so its not a really problems for us.
Couldn't be more perfect, the house with lots of plants and trees in the courtyard put you in a totally relaxed state, quiet island away from the crazy mobs of tourists swarming on the main island. Great host, gives lost of info about the places around, she even gives you a guide. We will definitely book our time there with the first chance.
Francesca is a great host and her place is lovely.
Bedroom and bathroom are very pretty and super clean,
the breakfast is good,
the coffee prepared the way you like it,
the garden beautiful.
We highly recommend it.
We had a very pleasant stay with Francesca. She is a great host and we loved our conversations with her.
The location of her house is really good and we loved the coffee she served. She gave us really good advices and we hope we can see her again sometime. For us we think Venice would always remind us of her, her cozy house and our lovely conversations with her.
Francesca was an amazing host. Our room and the shared bathroom were impeccable. Breakfast was served in our room and it included warm croissants, homemade cappucinno and other things. We always felt at home at Francesca's. She asked us questions about or comfort and easily made recommendations on restaurants and travel in Venice. We stayed in the garden room, I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Venice.
My husband and I stayed here for a couple of days and fell in love! Francesca is very pleasant and accommodating. She really wants you to get the best out of Venice. The room was clean and comfortable. Her place was easy to find and we had no problem navigating the public transportation. We would definitely stay there again!
Very good experience in general! We stayed there 2 nights. The spot is very good (close to vaporetto so easy to get to bus/train and san marco plaza). Room is clean and quiet at night. Breakfast is good. Francesca helped us a lot for infos on transportation, main attractions, etc. I would recommend!
Francesca is so nice always be with us and her room is amazing with garden and river, hearing sound of nature is amazing!! Definitely back if I'm in Venice.
