Om Dette Opslag
Recently restored, the Bed&Breakfast Al Canal is an oasis of tranquillity and peace in the heart of Venice, the Giudecca island, out of the crowded and noisy touristic itineraries.
In 15 minutes you can reach St. Mark square, train station, piazzale roma or tronchetto parking car station by waterbus that runs every 10 minutes.
The B&B is named "al Canal" since it faces a large canal and is located on the ground floor of a typical Venetian 17th century building.
2 double-bedded rooms (extra bed on request), fully furnished with linen and towels, can accomodate single guest or families (cribs and extra-bed available).
The spacious bathroom with shower is shared by the guests.
A Venetian courtyard welcomes the guests with its beautiful flowers: an ideal place for relaxing with a drink after a day of sightseeing.
Continental breakfast is included and during the warm season it can be served in the garden.
The B&B al Canal is an ideal place where to spend a vacation in a quiet and economic way, here you get to know a popular and genuine Venice. It is personally run by the owner, a “pure venetian” lady who will provide you with suggestions about the most secret and magical parts of the city, where everything is art.
Leaflets and brochures are always available with informations about art shows, concerts, exibitions.

We had a great stay on the quiet island of Guidecca, which servers as a convenient base to explore Venice, once you get the hang of the vaparettos. The instructions to the B&B were great and communication with Francesca was easy. Breakfast in the garden was simple but lovely and our room was clean. Overall, it was nice to have a home base that was an oasis of calm removed from the tourist masses.
Francesca was a great host! Her constant enthusiasm was infectious and she made you feel welcome in her home from the start. We arrived late at night so she allowed us to go to bed before checking properly. Her instructions on how to get to the apartment were flawless and she even saved us money in suggesting how we bought tickets to get around.
The room was as described and the breakfast provided was exactly what you needed before a days exploring. The location is also good, the island is quiet at night and is ver calm in comparison to the main island, which can be reached in 10/15 minutes.
Would recommend staying here, great value for money!
So glad we chose this one. The location is on Guidecca Island which is off the main tourist area so is quiet and with Paola's directions very quick and easy to find. The area has nice restaurants along the foreshore with good views of Venice's landmarks. It is an easy boat trip across to the busy side so we would spend the day getting lost amongst the tourists in the myriad of streets and piazzas then relax in the evening on 'our island'.
Francesca was an excellent host and the breakfast in her beautiful garden each morning was a delight. We highly recommend this lovely quiet oasis far from the madding crowd.
Francesca was wonderful. She was such a good host with lots of help and advice about transport and good places to go. She was very cheerful and easy to get along with. The room was spotless as was the bathroom and she provided me with a fan and mosquito repellant if needed. It was great to have as it was extremely hot and humid while I was in Venice. Francesca kindly allowed me to leave some of my goods and chattels with her to lighten my luggage. The breakfast each morning in the garden was so nice. The bedding / towels were clean and fresh, although the bed was very firm and the pillows much too hard for my liking but others I'm sure prefer them like that. All in all, it was a lovely place to stay away from the crowds of Venice city. So nice to wake up to bells and singing birds. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at Francesca. She was very nice. We could ask her anything and she gave us some nice tips about Venice. The location was perfect. We had a cute little room with garden view and everything was clean. If we ever go back to Venice, we will stay here again.
We stayed 2 nights at Francescas lovely place. She made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our stay in Venice very much. The house is in an quite area but close to the City of Venice, which we could reach by the Vaparetto in 10 Minutes. The room is clean und big at the garden site. She made us breakfast in her beautiful garden und helped us with questions. We would stay there again!
