The Cottage is a fully self-contained loft-style apartment positioned near our home with views to Seven Mile Beach and surrounded by 80 acres of rainforest.
We are completely off the grid, eco-friendly, sustainable and surrounded by wildlife.
The Cottage has a small kitchen and dining table suitable for two people, and a modern bathroom, downstairs.
We provide breakfast supplies including my home made muesli, our own organic free range eggs, bacon, Irish soda bread, yoghurt, tea, coffee and grapefruits when they are in season.
Upstairs, a combined sitting room and bedroom take in views of Seven Mile Beach below.
It has a queen size bed with beautiful quality linen, and the sitting area has a sofa, armchair, coffee table and TV with DVDs. We are off the grid, so TV reception is not fantastic.
There is a big population of kangaroos living on the property and you will see them come into the clearing every evening at dusk. We often see wombats and we have an abundance of native birds including lyrebirds.

You will have the entire Cottage to yourselves. It is positioned fairly close to our home and you are welcome to enjoy our gardens and of course the 80 acres of rainforest on our property including the beautiful walks. We also have an organic vegetable garden, orchard, chickens and bees.
When we are at home we are more than happy to help with advice for local things to do such as rainforest walks with views either up or down the coast on the property. One of our favourites is along the original Hoddles track and takes about an hour return. At the half way point you will find gigantic boulders in the rainforest and a small rock climb (no gear needed) for the more adventurous; this will give you 360 views up and down the coast.
There is so much to see in our area! Berry and Gerringong are both a 20 minute drive away.
Perhaps you'd like a refreshing dip in the picturesque sea baths in Gerringong or lunch at The Blue Swimmer in Gerroa.
In Berry you might stop for coffee and cake at the Berry Sourdough Cafe, browse the antique stores or Sunday market, or have dinner at one of the fine dining restaurants.
Kangaroo Valley is a 40-minute drive and we recommend if you are coming from Sydney you might like to come to Foxground via the coast, and perhaps travel home via Kangaroo Valley and Bowral.
Our closest train station is Gerringong and is a 20 minute pick up if you will be arriving separately.
There is a small stretch of unsealed road you will need to navigate to get to our property. This can be managed easily by all vehicles. If you'd like to take advantage of the longer walks on the property bring your hiking gear!
