Was a real pleasure to stay here. The house is really quiet and everything is there. The breakfast is just great :)
Hyggeligt og privat værelse med fint badeværelse! Elin og Dan er hyggelige værter og morgenmaden var super lækker!
Elin was the nicest host we could dream of. Very friendly from the start, we felt completely at ease with her. If was our first Airbnb ever and it was fantastic. Simply put her house is beautiful, modern and peaceful, with a nice pool. the breakfast was the best we had in all our trip to Denmark, expensive hotels included.
We had a nice conversation at breakfast with her and her other guests which taught us a lot about the country. I warmly recommend her.
Visiting Copenhagen for the first time, we are so glad we also went up north to stay with Elin and Dan. First day Dan went to the train station to pick us up to their beautiful home. We feel like visiting our long lost relative, and I felt this is better than checking into the Hyatt or Continental resort. Dan even drove us back to the train station so we don't loose time to go visit the Kronborg Castle the same day. The next morning we were able to enjoy Elin's famous fresh baked breads with all her home made jams and cheese at breakfast. I could have just stay and relax there the whole day. Anyway we planned to go visit the Frederiksborg Palace and luckily Dan was going that direction. He gave us another free ride and even went around to show us their Queen's Palace. The only complain I had is they should require a minimum 2 if not 3 night stay, so their guest could truly enjoy what that area have to offer! My advise to anyone visiting Copenhagen, leave yourself sometimes to visit North Zealand. Go visit and stay with our friend Elin and Dan, and don't forget to say hi to them for us!
We had a very very nice stay at Elin's house. She and her husband were both very helpful - gave us good advice on where to go in north zealand and even drove us to the station and one of the castles. :) We really appreciate that.
The house itself is very cosy - lovely garden and swimming pool, bright kitchen and clean rooms. The breakfast taste delicious with Elin's homemade bread, jam and pancakes. We really miss that!!
We would not hesitate to stay longer if we hadn't already booked our next stay back in Copenhagen before the travel.
There are so many things to do in north zealand - three beautiful castles scattered around, lovely towns, nice beaches and the Esrum Lake. The house is a very good location to get to these places. you need at least 3 days!!!
Kokkedale is a very nice and safe area - very green, well designed houses.
200% recommend to stay! We will come back when we visit the country again!!
