Very lovely servant's room in the 16th district of Paris on the 6th floor with elevator of a luxuary building. Recently refreshed and with all equipment, you will enjoy living in this room. It has internet, shower (not separated), micro waves, electic rings, refrigirator, sofa bed for 2. The toilets are commons and not in the room but they are very clean and are washed everyday. The room is totally independant and looks like more a studio than a room. It makes 10 m2. It's based from 2 min by walk from a subway station and 2 min by walk from a very commercial street with all necessity shops. It's based also at 5 min by walk from the Trocadero and the Eiffel tower and "l'arc de triomphe". It has been lovely furnished. It is a very plaisant room to live.
Please note that I provide sheets but not the towels.

I stayed in this lovely little room for 5 months whilst I was studying in Paris and it was perfect for me. The location is great, it is not the liveliest part of town and is a little expensive for restaurants and bars but it is very quiet and feels very safe even when returning home late at night. It's very easy to get around with a couple of metro stations within walking distance and an RER station directly across the road. Also there are a few little grocery stores close by or a big Carrefour a few metro stops away. The room itself was great, the bed was very comfortable and it was actually a decent size for one of these typically tiny Parisian rooms. There is a lot of storage room too for a small space. I stayed there mostly over the winter and I was worried about being cold but the heating is very efficient and the room was always nice and warm. The WiFi was also really good. The building itself is really nice, very lucky to have an elevator too as it's on the 6th floor and most building like this don't! It was mostly very quiet, the neighbours are very nice and respectful. I never spoke with Frederique but met her husband Yasser, he is really nice and very helpful. They don't live in Paris but Yasser occasionally comes and always checked in to make sure everything was ok. I never really had any problems, only one tiny problem with the heating once and Yasser was very good and had it all fixed as quickly as possible. Overall I loved this little room. For Paris, it's a really decent size and price if you want your own space. Perfect for short or long term. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again if I come back to Paris!
I really loved this place. It was a nice size for a studio, and was quite comfortable. Great for one person for a short or long term (I was here for a month), or for two people for a weekend or so. Frederique is lovely, and was very helpful.
The place is in a lovely location. You can see the Eiffel Tower from the corner. It is close to the metro, bus and RER. The Trocodero- the square leading right to the Eiffel Tower is a ten minute walk;prob a twenty min walk to Champ D'Elysees. It is also right next to the lovely Bois de Boulougne- a lush and huge park that serves as the lungs of Paris.
The area itself in the 16th is a lil ritzy, and not the cheapest part of town, but it is easy to find all the proper accouterments of proper French life (boulangerie, fromagerie, cafes etc) at reasonable prices. It is not the most lively part of town at night, but makes for a nice place to return to.
I really loved the place and would consider staying another month. It had everything I needed for all the trapping of a Hemingway Paris sabbatical.
- No television
- Cold wind coming from de window
- No washing machine for 1 month
- Bed not working well
- Too much Money for what it is
- Internet conexion interupted sometimes during weeks
+ Good and safe arrodissement
+ Nice neighboors on the same floor
+ The equipment is in good conditions
+ Perfect room for a short amount of time
The room is great. We did have an unfortunate experience. Our bus from London was 2 hours late and so we were late to our check in and we were locked out of the room for the first 3 nights. So make sure not to be late for your check in because Federique does not live close to Paris. Other than that, the room and the location are great. Federique's husband Yasser is very nice and hospitable (he is the one who eventually met us to give us the keys).
The room is cosy but has everything you need and quite a bit of storage space as well. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, but it is just a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro and 2 minutes to the nearest RER station. The toilet (which is shared) was kept very clean, as were the halls and other common areas. The only real downside is that the doors are thin and not closely fitted so noise from the hall can get quite loud as there are many other similar rooms on the same floor. Also, the wifi is not a dedicated modem, but one of those free public wifi points, so you have to sign in again every so often to maintain access to the internet. However, the signal is pretty good.
The host was very willing to answer any questions I had by email very promptly and checked in once or twice after I arrived to make sure that everything was ok. Overall, I had an excellent experience!
