Om Dette Opslag
Literally behind the famous Centre Pompidou museum, this studio is for all of those who would like to experience Paris in a romantic and nostalgic way.
With two very large 19th century libraries, going all the way to the ceiling, this is an authentic writer's residence that has kept all the beauty of times past.
Its open look to the medieval church of Saint-Merri ads up to the historical feel of the place.
Location-wise, it is in the real center of Paris: 1m walk to the Marais, 2m to Les Halles, 5m to Notre Dame, 10m to the Latin Quarter and 15m to Saint Germain.
You will find a king size bed on a mezzanine, a good place to rest and get submerged in a book after a long walk. The apartment has been tastefully furnished with a mix of antique french items and a touch of design in the kitchen.
The apartment has a fully furnished kitchen with brand new appliances (espresso machine, boiler, electric oven and stoves, etc).
It also includes a washing machine.
At the end of the hall you will find a comfortable bathroom with shower. Linen and towels are included.
And because we like to make people's stay more authentic and pleasant, you will also have a bottle of great wine from Bordeaux at your arrival.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - Please note there is a 50 euros cleaning fee upon arrival to be payed in cash. Check-ins after 10pm have an extra 30 euros fee.
The location of the apartment could not have been better. We were within a close walk directly to many sights or close to the metro for a ride to anywhere in Paris. Location was an added plus to being able to come back to the apartment during the day for a rest. Nicolas was very kind to make sure we got into the apartment quickly when we arrived earlier than planned. The apartment was clean and neat and was quite interesting. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it really sold me on using Airbnb in the future. The apartment was exactly as described. The timing on getting the key worked out perfectly. I love being surrounded by so many beautiful books, especially since I was in Paris working on a book. I was a little nervous about the loft bed (I move around a lot in my sleep), but it was comfortable, spacious (even room for a TV--I brought an HDMI cable and was able to play video from my iPad through it as well). The location is ideal. I used the metro far less than I do when I'm staying at my usual place in the 7th arrondissement. The black couch has seen better days, but I don't think it's a problem unless you are planning to sleep on it. There was a freak accident where the washer ate one of my shirts through four holes on the inside of the drum, but I did another load after that without any problem, so I guess it was just bad luck. The owner was very good about offering to have a repairman come, but it wasn't necessary. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
The best place I could've stayed in Paris! Excellent location - next to RER coming from both Airports and lots of subways, 5 min walking from Notre Dame, 15 min walking from Louvre. Beaubourg (Le Marais) is indeed one of the best regions in terms of stores, bars and restaurants. Simply loved! The apartment was identical to the photo - very cute [really], I had everything I needed there and the host was very nice and helpful. I will certainly recomend to every friend who wish to meet Paris.
There was plenty of communication and it was easy to get the keys to the apartment. The location is fantastic, but the place itself (as said in other reviews) isn't outfitted completely to cook a meal. Glasses, especially wine glasses, are a must. A tall person (over 5'8") will be very uncomfortable with the low ceiling in the loft bed (you can't sit up and you might kick the TV off the loft!). The shabby chic decor is nice but after awhile very uncomfortable. It was great having a washing machine in the apartment.
Excellent place to stay in Paris! Well located, in a hip, active neighborhood literally looking into a medieval church and steps from the Pompidou museum. Nicolas is extremely friendly and very helpful. Able to make the stay right. The apartment is well equipped with a spacous living room, nice little kitchen and decent bathroom. The bed, despite being in a loft, is large and very comfortable and we were able to sleep well. Super fast internet. About a 10 min walk to Notre Dame. A tasty baker is around the corner, as well as two Starbucks. We would stay here again for sure!
One of the best experiences I've had in Paris. The space was clean well cared for and exactly what the photos promise.d Getting the keys was easy and there were no communication problems. If I'm ever back in Paris I'll most certainty be staying here again.
