Beautiful and classic one bedroom suite in a historic triplex at 6th and Sherman. Living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom are all separate spaces. Like the title, the Front Porch opens onto the original front porch... complete with a swing!
The Front Porch is named for that classic front porch you see with rockers and the porch swing... you know... drinking lemonade and watching the people walk by on a lazy afternoon.
The Front Porch has everything you need for a short or long term stay. It is fully equipped with linens, towels, and kitchen items. There is a flat screen tv, roku box and wifi. Located on the ground floor of a historic triplex with a separate living room, kitchen and bedroom with lots of closet space (a true rarity in an old house). The space is perfect for a couple or tiny family, as the bathroom is through the bedroom. If, however, you have an extra guest with you we can supply an aerobed mattress and twin mattresses for an additional set up fee.
The Annex also has a fenced backyard with lovely potted flowers, fountain, chairs and table, propane barbecue, and adirondack chairs. Dogs with their owners are welcome back here :-)
Laundry facility onsite shared with the Nest guests. We plant garden boxes for our guests so if you come in August, expect fresh tomatoes. Some storage is available as well on site. Guests may also store their bikes in the backyard between the studio and the main building.
I am on site several times a week. I have designed your experience to be "Hands Off" and I am here in case you need something. I maintain the gardens so you may see me around in the summer. I'd love to meet you so please feel free to reach out!
The location is within 6 blocks of Hyde Park and also just 1/2 mile from downtown Boise's shopping and restaurants. Located in a very quiet residential family neighborhood, this unit is the front end on the bottom floor of a triplex. This triplex was my home for seven years, and the neighbors are really wonderful and there are lots of families on this street.
We are 1/2 mile from the local Boise Coop for groceries. Also, for a cool swim, we are a quick 5 minute drive or a bike ride down to the river in the summer. The hills are only about a block away for hiking or watching the sunset.
This suite has great air conditioning, so don't worry about that being an issue in the Boise summer! We have a washer and a dryer in the facility's basement for this suite. It is shared with the Nest occupants and the housekeeping staff when they clean. There is a flat screen tv, with basic cable, and a Roku media streamer.
This unit is available for a minimum 3 days in the summer months, and monthly otherwise for around (phone number hidden).
Bikes are a great way to see Boise. It's relatively flat, and parking is getting harder downtown. There is also a bus route, but it's so close to walk or bike that I've never actually used this service to recommend.
A full binder of information about the space awaits you when you arrive. Information about check in will be sent via email within a few days of making your reservation.
Dog are an additional fee, there is no smoking on the premises.
Fra 1. september 2015 - 30. november 2015 er minimum for ophold 30 nætter.
Om værten, Eve-Marie
"The way you do one thing is the way you do everything." I take special pride in the details in all of my suites.
I love people and learning about their reasons for coming Boise. I also love Boise and all the area has to offer. I've created a North End experience for you, complete with bikes to rent and explore the downtown area. My philosophy for hosting is more "hands-off" by design from experiences that I have had in the hospitality industry, so please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to meet! My intention is that your visit to Boise is about you, and your interests.
When I'm not working, I enjoy the mountains: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping. I cannot go a day in the summer without jumping in the nearby Idaho waters: swimming , surfing and wakeboarding are some of my favorite summer activities. Ask me and I may reveal my favorite watering holes.
I enjoy Ashtanga yoga, TM meditation and Ayurvedic cooking. I love to travel to metropolitan areas as well as remote wilderness. I enjoy music, art and independent movies I was lucky to go the the Venice Biennale in 2013 and Amsterdam to look at artist residencies for a model to bring to Boise. I will be going back to Burning Man for the fifth time this summer. It fills me up with ideas about temporary living spaces and the sense of community that I embrace and try to model.
Aside from that I am a soccer mom and we have a dog named Izzy (hypoallergenic) and a guinea pig (that sheds) and are just living the dream.
Enjoy your day!
