View from inside living room toward the front door. Some San Francisco books on the bookshelves!
Private, three room, one-bedroom apartment located in the center of San Francisco bordering two neighborhoods - Duboce Park and Buena Vista. Walking distance to Haight-Ashbury, Castro, Panhandle of Golden Gate Park. Enjoy the amenities of nearby neighborhood hubs (coffee shops, sushi, pizza, upscale bars and restaurants, pubs) or cook in.
Duboce Park (a great neighborhood park) is a block away. Buena Vista Park is a short, but very steep walk away - this park has incredible views of the Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, and the city so it's well worth the effort.
Apartment is the lower unit in a home that was built around 1900, so has a unique feel with a large bedroom and kitchen area (a little quirky). The unit is not as bright as the airbnb photographer's pictures look; the living room and bedroom face east and get morning sun but the kitchen is on the northern side so isn't really sunny.
Upper unit is occupied by me along with my two little dogs, Ozzie and Roxie. Since your unit is completely separate you might not see my dogs at all during your stay, although you might hear us coming down the front steps or walking upstairs.
Easy walk (about 1 block) to light-rail system which can get you downtown in 15 minutes or to the waterfront (Bay side going in one direction, the ocean going in the other direction). Very easy public transportation, and one block from City Car Share and Zipcar locations. On-street parking is generally good but there is 2 hour limit during the day for non-residents. The neighborhood is urban/residential and the street out front is a fairly busy two-lane road (see picture out window) so there can be background traffic noise which might bother sensitive sleepers.
Queen size bed (58 inches wide) with pillow-top mattress
Bathroom (separate toilet area) with bathtub and shower
Small washer/dryer in the apartment.
Living room with cable TV (basic cable only)
Refrigerator and gas stove
Iron and ironing board
Basic breakfast items included in the refrigerator for your first morning
Check-in is 3:00pm and check-out is 11:00am
Pricing for stays of 30 days or more are significantly discounted. The discount is calculated through airbnb and will appear automatically when you enter your dates.

Corrie was our favorite host yet! She greeted us warmly, left us some very welcome fruit, coffee and flowers, and checked in with us several times to make sure we were set. The location was perfect for us. The space is basic but comfortable. Kitchen nicely met our needs. Corrie provided lots of information about the neighborhood, transportation, etc. THANKS!
Corrie was an excellent host, extremely available and helpful. She waited us with breakfast and some basic things in the refrigerator.
The kitchen´s apartment is, like she mentions in the airbnb anouncement, a little bit dark but the whole apartment is very spacious and in an excellent location, in a quiet neighborhood and very close to public transport.
Our stay at Corrie's place was absolutely wonderful. Corrie was super easy to communicate with and made sure we always had everything we needed to ensure a comfortable, positive stay in San Francisco.
The space itself was very spacious. We had far more room than we needed, which made the whole home feel very relaxed. So much better than being crammed in a small hotel room. The bedroom and other rooms were all very clean. She provided towels and a blow dryer, which made for lighter packing. We were able to do a load of laundry, however, it is very old and SUPER loud. The shower was clean as well, and had good water pressure.
The location was fantastic. It was so centrally located to everything we wanted to do. We were able to find a cab when needed right off Castro, and walked everywhere the rest of the time. With this location, there is no need to have a rental car during your stay!
I would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting San Francisco who wants a worry-free stay provided by an accommodating host! Thanks for the great experience Corrie!
Corrie was awesome and we had a great time. She allowed us to leave the our bags a little early. She gave me a good review and her expectations were spot on. The place is in an amazing location for going to the sites and public transportation. We were able to do everything we wanted. The house is a little quirky in the layout so be aware. The stairs are weird both my GF and I had run in with the multiple stairs so be warned, but that is expected in SF. We rode our bikes around and a perfect location for Haight area. The SF transportation was Idle. Didn't want to leave
Corrie had a great place for our three day stay. A lot of space with everything you should need. We felt like we were in our own apartment! The area is super safe with no homeless people sitting outside the door! It was convent to public transportation, parks and food. My boyfriend and I love being outdoors and were able to run to golden gate park! If you enjoy Mexican food We really enjoyed The Little Chihuahua on Divisadero st, which is a three minute walk! Corrie is easy to get in touch with and very laid back. I feel this would be a great abnb for a family. Don't hesitate, book this place!
Corrie was a great host-- she made it really easy to check in, was highly attentive to a problem I had with the wifi, and went above and beyond with the snacks she provided upon arrival. The apartment was much bigger than I anticipated, which allowed us to spread out and get comfy for our three day stay. The location was ideal for us-- walking distance to Haight-Ashbury, The Castro, Golden Gate Park, Buena Vista Park, and plenty of cafes and restaurants. The apartment felt safe and ideally located, and the host was friendly and made the experience easy for us-- highly recommended spot!
The pictures of this apartment are deceptively bright and cheery - the unit itself is built into a hill and is rather dark, even during the daytime. That being said, it is much bigger than I was expecting, making for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable and there are plenty of amenities - including a washer/dryer in the unit.
The location was perfect for me, mere blocks from Church and Market. While I'm in really good shape, older visitors planning on walking may have to consider how steep the hill is to get to the apartment, although this is San Francisco, after all.
My only complaint is that I wish the hosts had told me they were renovating their own unit which is directly above the one I was renting. Throughout the day I heard hammering, power saws, and a lot of noise. Some of the construction started pretty early so I couldn't sleep in most days. And because I was working from "home," the construction noise was really distracting. I wish the hosts had disclosed this before I rented the unit.
