Isabelle & John, a French/American couple, and their two teenagers, welcome you to Quissac Haut, their lovingly-restored 18th century farmstead on a 5-acre estate in the heart of southwest France—a region famous for good living and culinary excellence.

We offer two independent lodgings: the Alcove, a 50m2 studio apartment for two to four people located in the ground floor of our family home, and the Colombier, an independent restored grange of 100m2 with a private terrace for up to 6 people.

Boligen
Your lodgings in the Alcove:

Cozy up in this charming 50m2 studio apartment, with kitchenette and washing machine, one double bed and two singles. You'll love the large Italian shower built into the old bakery room.

You can also enjoy the shared, shaded, outdoor summer kitchen (our preferred spot for an early evening aperitif!); for the adventurous there is a Mexican-style brasero grill for barbecues (charcoal provided), a gas grill is also available.
Feel free to bathe in our beautiful infinity-edge pool (shared with other guests and our family), which overlooks rolling hills and an 15th-century chateau
For laundry, your gîte is equipped with a washer/dryer (no extra fee)
Coming in the spring or fall? There is a cast iron stove and free firewood in case it gets chilly
You’ll be deep in the countryside, far from the hustle and bustle—but you’ll have Wifi.

We are very sorry, for security issues, we can't host young children under 12, yet. Also, the configuration of the house and its surrendings make access difficult for people with reduced mobility.

We love animals, and have cats and a very friendly golden retriever, but except in rare cases we can’t accept dogs. Feel free to write us with queries about exceptions.

Her skal du være

Valeilles, Occitanie, Frankrig

So much to discover in this historic rural area, world famous for its gastronomy (this is the home of foie gras, magret de canard and many other classic French delights), fine wines (Bordeaux, Cahors and Bergerac regions are nearby), stunning castles and medieval villages. Supermarkets are nearby, but so are charming farmers markets brimming with locally grown produce and regional delicacies as well as restaurants from simple cafes and bistros to Michelin-starred fine dining. The area is culturally vibrant, with an array of concerts, festivals, flea markets, museums and other attractions. Your stay can be as active or laid-back as you’d like; John and Isabelle are your onsite guides available for recommendations, directions, reservations, etc.
