A sunny, comfortable room, centrally located in the heart of the Haight Ashbury. A block from shops, restaurants, public transit and Goldengate Park. Walk around in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of one of the world's most beautiful cities.
Second bedroom of large Haight Ashbury apartment -- sleep in an actual 130-year-old Edwardian San Francisco apartment. Incredibly private despite enormous windows, high trees make excellent screen for people watching.
There is a TV for guest use in the bedroom with Netflix and Amazon Instant Streaming. There is a large shelf and dresser for guest use as well. The closet we use for storage but can always shuffle things around if you need extra space.
The bed has been described as 'extremely comfortable' and is a queen, so it fits two quite comfortably. There are also extra blankets, pillows and a heater if it gets chilly.
The bathroom is shared with us. It has a combination tub and shower and there is a designated shelf for guest to store their toiletries.
The apartment has two rambunctious young kitties, so be aware if allergic or irritated by cats playing.
Wifi throughout the house. Kitchen at your disposal. We like guests to feel at home, so please make yourself comfortable! Coffee, tea, spices, help yourself! Anything else in the kitchen is probably fine as well, feel free to ask.
Parking: San Francisco is notorious for its difficult parking. Haight street fairs much better than other neighborhoods but can be a shock for those who are not used to needing to drive around for a little while before finding a spot. It often depends on the time of day and week but on average it will probably take about 10 minutes to find a reasonably close spot. It can take much longer in the evening. I also have one area I have pretty good luck in and am happy to share my secrets with bnb guests. Another note: Haight street is usually metered, so it's best avoided for more than a nights stay, and no matter where you park, there is street cleaning, so read the signs!
There is a washer and dryer in the basement for laundry, but you must provide your own quarters and be done by 10pm.
One of us is usually home, although we sometimes head out of town for the weekend. We both work from home at the moment and have been know to enjoy a beer or two with a bnb guest on the occasion. We are not pushy though, so you can also feel free to keep to yourself.
Our is street is pretty quiet despite the close proximity to of Haight St. Lots of families in the neighborhood.
A short walk to the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park. Often regarded as the 'better end' of the park, we are with walking distance to The Conservatory of Flowers, the De Young Museum, The California Academy of Sciences, The Botanical Gardens, The Japanese Tea Garden, and the Carousel built in 1914!
We are very close to the historic Haight Ashbury, about a 5-10 minute walk to Cole Valley and about a 15-20 minute walk to the UCSF Parnassus campus.
Amoeba Records, thousands of vintage clothing stores, restaurants et cetera are within shouting distance. It's pretty much the same Haight Ashbury it ever was, except now there is a specialty soda store and a Whole Foods.
Cool bars on Haight: Hobson's Choice (punch), Alembic (craft cocktails and high class small plates), Cha Cha Cha (Cuban eats & top notch sangria). There are also plenty of top-notch restaurants in the neighborhood. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!
The neighborhood is pretty centrally located so most other popular destinations are relatively easy to get to. Feel free to message us if you have any specific questions about the area or have a question as to how easy it is to get to another part of the city.
Muni light rail N line available in Cole Valley (20 minute ride to downtown), muni bus lines 34 & 71 run along Haight Street (25 minute ride to downtown). The 33 is a couple blocks away and is a straight shot to the heart of the Mission District. It will also give you a beautiful view of the city.
San Francisco has a large homeless population, many of whom live in the area around Haight street. It's mostly younger backpackers with sleepy dogs who try and sell pot to tourists in this neighborhood. Never have had a problem with safety, but worth noting as it has been a surprise to some guests visiting from out of town.

Truckee and Lauren were great hosts. They were super helpful and friendly. I wish I could have stayed longer. I would recommend them to any of my friends.
Really enjoyed my stay with Truckie and Lauren, they're a great couple. Made my stay very comfortable and gave me much needed advice on getting around the city. It's a good location, close to beautiful gardens, shops and restaurants. Would happily visit again.
It was a perfect stay: Truckee and Lauren were wonderful, warm and helpful hosts, the room and all the place were clean comfortable and so charming! We can't imagine a better place to stay it this city, would love to visit them again!
The neighborhood is one of the best, with a lot to do, and 2 blocks away from the Golden Gate Park (free entrance before 9am, cool option to take the jetlag for a walk :))
I was lucky to have this sweet couple as hosts! Was received in friendliest manner even though my air traffic had me show up at midnight. They were both helpful with directions and more. Felt welcomed and the house is charming and clean. Loved waking up to the trees in front if the windows. The cats are adorable too. Thanks a lot for a good stay.
Great couple, very convenient location. Room was spacious, clean, comfy. Definitely recommend it!
Truckie and Laurens spot was perfect for us and anyone who wants to enjoy a lot of different areas of SF. We were able to walk to a lot of places! - Comfortable and clean and fuss free. Great time. Cute kittens!
I had a great stay with Lauren and Trukee! They were very helpful and offered suggestions and directions. One of the things I liked most was their quick response time, as I was making a last minute booking. Also, the area is perfect if you want to experience the Haight/Ashbury area. I hope to stay again on a future trip!
Truckee and Lauren are amazing hosts. Room was clean, extra sheets and blankets were provided and even a small heater. Their place is lovely and cozy. The room is the perfect size for two and the common areas are large to lounge and hang out in after a long day of walking. Amazing location next to my favorite Tapas bar in San Francisco. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!
AMAZING TIME A++++
Truckee and Lauren have a great space, and it's exactly as advertised (the bed is very comfy, great after a long flight). I was very busy so unfortunately didn't spend much time at the apartment, but they were lovely and I felt really comfortable in the space. Also, amazing cookies! Thank you!
Our hosts were great-friendly and easy-going. Our room was comfortable and we felt comfortable coming and going. We would stay here again!
