Unless pre-approved by the Host ahead of time, Unapproved Visitors will be trespassing and the police may be called to remove them. A group of Guests are restricted from having a party as well unless pre-approved by the Host.
No Approved Visitors allowed in the bedrooms. Unless pre-approved by the Host ahead of time, no Approved Visitors are allowed in the bedrooms. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen as well as outdoor spaces to meet with Approved Visitors.
No Overnight Approved Visitors. If a Guest would like to have an overnight visitor, that visitor needs to be pre-approved by the Host before they come to this home and they will need to pay the Additional Guests nightly rate.
No Smoking inside the home. Smoking outside is allowed as long as the Guest uses an ashtray and disposes of the ashes and butts properly. If a Guest does not dispose of ashes and butts properly, this privilege will be revoked by the Host.
No Pets owned by guests on property. The Host does dog sit a miniature poodle, so there may be a dog at times in this home, but this is very rare. This is your notice for any allergy concerns. Please ask if you have any concerns.
No food or drinks in the bedrooms. This includes eating, drinking, food storage or preparation in the bedroom. A Guest is allowed a glass of water in the bedrooms as an exception to this rule. We have a kitchen, dining room and living room as well as outdoor space for eating and drinking. There is ample room for food storage in the kitchen and refrigerator.
Guests will only flush body waist and toilet paper down the toilet. No paper towels, sanitary napkins or trash should ever be flushed which will cause the toilet to block and overflow. The only exception to this is toilet bowel cleaner.
Guests will keep the home secure. Everyone will use the back door as the primary entrance and keep all exterior doors locked at all times. It is the Guest’s responsibility to fully close and lock the doors whenever they leave and enter the home. Ground level windows should also be secured if no one is home.
Guests will maintain quiet hours. Workweek (Sunday - Thursday) quiet hours are 10pm – 8am and weekend (Friday - Saturday) 12am – 10am. Noise must be kept to a whisper during these quiet hours, especially on the second floor near bedrooms. Guests will keep the volume of all electronics with speakers turned down to a level of sound that does not annoy or interfere with other guests.
Guests will conserve the Earth's resources. Guests will turn off all water completely in the kitchen and bathroom when not in use. Guest will also keep lights, heat and air conditioning off when rooms are unoccupied. Automatic night lighting for your safety should not be turned off.
Guests will recycle. Items required to be recycled by the city of Easton are paper products, plastic, glass and aluminum. Any fines by the city will be passed on to the Guest if the Guest does not recycle properly. Detailed recycling information to be followed is posted near the recycling and trash bins in the laundry room.
Guests will clean up after themselves. As a Guest, you are human and will make a mess. The Guest will clean up any mess they create immediately. As a rule of thumb, clean as you go and keep all spaces neat and clean. After a Guest uses anything, the Guest will clean up. Examples, but not a limited list: After use, a Guest will clean the stove top, oven, toaster oven and microwave, all dirty dishes they create and not leave any in the sink, put away clean dry dishes, wipe the kitchen counters, sink and table, keep the toilet, mirror, shower, floor and carpet clean, etc. The Host is not the maid or the Guest’s mother, but the Host will tell the Guest all about any mess like the Guest’s father since it is the Guest responsibility to clean up after themselves.
Guest are responsible to cover expenses for any property damages they cause. They will cover all expenses for the repair or replacement (of equal or greater value) for any damages they cause to the property itself or any items on site at the property.
Guest are responsible for keys. They will pay a replacement key fee of TWENTY DOLLARS ($20.00) if they loses their house and/or room key.
As a Multi-Month Guest, stays over 1 month, you agree to the following additional chores each month:
Guests will clean the common rooms assigned to them monthly. Cleaning is shared between all Guests and the Host. Depending on the number of Guests, that will determine how many common rooms each person is responsible for cleaning during the first week of the month and the rooms will vary each month.
Guests will share in the responsibilities of trash collection. The Guest will share the responsibility with the Host to put all filled trash cans and recycling bins out on the curb Tuesday nights and bring in the empty containers on Wednesday evenings. If the Host is not home, this responsibility solely falls on the Guests.
Guests will share in the responsibilities of snow and ice removal. In winter, the Guest will share the responsibility with the Host to shovel snow to clear all walkways and parking spaces. If the Host is not home, this responsibility solely falls on the Guests. Any fines by the city will be passed on to the Guest if the Guest does not clear the public walkways.
Guests will keep their bedroom clean and neat. It is the Guest's responsibility to keep their private living space clean.
Note: All of the above have been compiled after many, many years of hosting Guests and are reasonable to reasonable people. Read all my Airbnb reviews and you will see that I am tough, but fair. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask me.
