To get from the airport to our apartment in the center of Santiago we recommend to take one of the following transfers:
Both of these companies have offices at the Santiago airport, so it is not necessary to book in advance. Shared transfers are cheaper than taxis, it might take more time to get to the center though, because other people might get dropped of first. It is also possible to book a private transfer with these companies.
An other option is to take a taxi. It´s important to ask for the price before you go, especially if you look foreign. A normal price is around 15.000 CLP. But never pay more than 17.000 CLP!
Other distances from the apartment:
Andes Mountain (Ski Resorts): 33 km (20.5 mi.)

- For long stay, weekly cleaning with change of towels and sheets is included.
- No smoking inside the apartment (you can smoke at the balcony).
The apartment has no specific rules. Just take care and enjoy it as it was yours .
Just a few tips for the environment:
- While brushing your teeth turn off the water, you save more than 5 liters.
- Turn off the lights or the TV if you are not using.
- Do not take very long showers.
Gracias Jorge y Ale!
We love our apartment, it's cozy and has all the amenities one would need for a short or a long-term stay. It is close to everything including The Vega market and Mercado Central, Metro as well as the Parque Forestal. Jorge is a great host, his English is very good and he's extremely helpful. We've stayed in two of his apartments so far and we've been happy with both of them. Highly recommended!
For me, what makes Airbnb, besides , of course, the excellent accommodations I've had, is the representation of Airbnb by the host...for this, special thanks and appreciation must be given to Jorge. Jorge is an outstanding host and his professionalism is only enhanced by his good nature, courtesy and consideration for his guests. Thank you!!!
Jorge is a very nice host as he knows exactly how making you confortable. He's right near from you if you need and always invites you for meetings only if you want to. The apartment is beautiful and has a nice balcony from where you can see the two christ hills. As the city is quite dried weather is the best place for staying, considering that the rivers cross the avenue right in front of the apartment. If you need anithng in Santiago, Jorge will helps you, because he has many options for xtreeme activities. No negative point on my experience. Enjoy!
I went to Santiago, Chile and some other surrounding towns for two weeks. I went into this trip a bit blind regarding where I was staying and knowing the city. I just want to say how much of a help Jorge was during my stay. He gave me restaurant advice, put a fan in the room as the heat had come for the start of summer and even helped me and my friends for a night when we went to Vinha de Mar. Needless to say, it was a great experience staying at his apartment, it was clean, modern, had great views and was central to everything in Santiago. The only minor concern is you have to walk four or five blocks to get to restaurants, bars or a supermarket. Overall, I'd recommend staying in any of Jorge's places for your stay in Chile....thanks chico!! Nolan S
Spent 5 days in Santiago and I couldn't have picked a better place. Clean, well appointed, easy access, all in all a perfect stay for a short term visit. Will definitely return. Jorge is a great host with good restaurant suggestions.
The apartment has everything you need to be confortable in Santiago. It's very close to downtown, the market of La Vega (great fruits and ingredients to cook) and Patronato (great asian supermarkets). It's also walking distance to Bellavista and Bellas Artes.
Jorge is in the travel business so he'll share a lot of knowledge about Santiago and what to do. He's friendly and very easy to reach by email.
The internet is the basic plan offered locally, so if you relay on it for work, you should get an extra 3G backup plan.
We have a great time and hope to rent the apartment in the future.
