Welcome to the Story Suite. Inspired by local Idaho Storytellers, there are artistic details throughout. Warm colors, 10 feet ceilings, private kitchen and gorgeous new bathroom, hardwood floors, queen bed. Dogs are allowed for an additional fee.
Come stay at the Animal Trophy Suite located in the Boise Guest House. My daughter and I welcome you to our family-owned and operated European-style guest house.
My completely restored 1895 Queen Anne Victorian has six unique suites. Each room has a private bathroom, full kitchen, comfy queen beds and unique decor. This ground level suite has a private entrance with bistro tables on the front porch. It is to the right of the front door. It is on the southwest side of the house. Great for a couple.
The Boise Guest House has a garden, barbecue, shared outside tables. You will have your own kitchen, bathroom and access to the laundry room. Everyone has their own suite, so nothing is specifically shared except the common space.
I would love to meet you! I have designed the Boise Guest House around the idea that you want your space when you travel. Ashley and Hannah are onsite cleaning suites from 11am-3pm to bring you anything you would like. My experience traveling & working for ten years is that it's exhausting... and the last thing you need is the owner present. I'm just a phone call away!
The Boise Guest House is located in a quiet downtown/ North End location, near the historic district of little old Boise on a government block. We have a few neighbors, but mostly it's a daytime office can walk everywhere, or rent our cool bikes to the farmer's market or the park. We are only 4 miles from the airport, so a taxi is inexpensive. We're also 2 blocks from the Boise Co-op, so you can buy groceries and prepare your own meals.
Bikes! Boise is so bike friendly. We have four cruisers with racks and baskets for you to rent. It's only $10/day.
Dogs are welcome in some of our rooms (sorry, not the Animal room, ironically) for an extra $25 per dog. We are family-friendly and provide toys and high chairs., and pak n plays. Extra aerobeds are $25/stay.
Please treat our home as your own! There is absolutely no smoking on the premises. Pets (dogs) are permitted with prior approval in some suites, but this must be approved by the owner in advance. Other guests have extreme allergies to both smoke and pets, so we have a strict policy in our suites. Failure to adhere to our policy will result in the loss of the security deposit as well as an additional cost of $100 on your credit card.
The Story Suite has 10 ft ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors and access to the front porch with bistro table and chairs. Each suite has original artwork by local artists. The curtains are the closet; working with an 1895 historic building, we have had to
I was pretty much satisfied with this listing. It was clean and well equipped with what travelers need. They also provide breakfast delivery service with about $10 charges although I could not have a chance to try it. However, there was one thing different from the picture. There was a small chiller fixed at the window right next to the bed, and it was too noisy for me. So I had to turn it off when sleeping. I could sleep without AC, but somebody may feel uncomfortable.
Hi Jeong! Thanks for staying with us. Yes, due the Boise Guest House's age of 120 years, we do not have a central air system. Most hotels have a ductless heating and cooling system, so it's not totally unusual to have an ac in your suite. The benefit: white noise! For an old house with not so great insulation, this is an added benefit! I'm sorry that it disturbed you. Have a great summer!
The Boise guesthouse was easy to find, and the self check-in went smoothly. The room was very comfy, and very nicely decorated! (Not the usual chintz /rickracky stuff!). Location was great- right downtown, easy to walk to cafes, etc. I really enjoyed my stay there, and
Eve-Marie was very charming and warm when I did meet her. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a charming alternative to chain hotels!
The Boise Guest House is very conveniently located. The rooms are small but well arranged, with everything you need and a very comfortable bed. I booked the Story Suite but ended up in the Animal Trophy Suite, which was a bit disappointing because the shower in that space is much smaller than the one in the photos of the Story Suite (there's just enough room to turn around).
Thank you for this review. I apologize about staying in the Animal Trophy Suite. In March we just started offering individual suites that guests can book. We previously just had one overall listing for six suites, and I tried to just work with the room types available. I didn't realize I had promised a specific suite. Yes, the shower is a little small... I appreciate your honesty. I wasn't aware you had a specific suite request, and I'm sorry. Moving forward our Airbnb guests can select which suite they would like now that I have a way to manage all nine suites!
Thanks again for staying with us.
The Boise Guest House is so gosh darn adorable. I loved EVERYTHING about our room. It was nicely decorated, close to everything we needed, clean, full of amenities and included parking. Communicating with Eve-Marie was a breeze. Would highly recommend this listing.
The Boise Guest house provided an exceptional stay! The location could not have been better as it is very accessible to the downtown area. The parking available on-site was very convenient. My suite was clean and cozy, providing all the comforts of home. The brownie bites in the entry was a wonderful touch!
Charm. Clean. Convenient. Eve-Marie's place was all of these.
I was visiting Boise for a business conference, and was looking for something a little less "sterile" than the downtown hotel rooms. I was not disappointed.
I guess the best part of staying there was unwinding after stressful meetings all day. I don't know what it was exactly, but the stress melted away as soon as I entered the room.
Cozy. That's the word I'm looking for.
I you want a sterile, modern place to stay, this isn't it.
But if you want to feel like you're back home, wrapped in a warm blanket of warm and cozy, with a completely outfitted kitchen area, then don't hesitate to stay there. Even the WiFi was fast. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Om værten, Eve-Marie
"The way you do one thing is the way you do everything." I take special pride in the details in all of my suites.
I love people and learning about their reasons for coming Boise. I also love Boise and all the area has to offer. I've created a North End experience for you, complete with bikes to rent and explore the downtown area. My philosophy for hosting is more "hands-off" by design from experiences that I have had in the hospitality industry, so please feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to meet! My intention is that your visit to Boise is about you, and your interests.
When I'm not working, I enjoy the mountains: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping. I cannot go a day in the summer without jumping in the nearby Idaho waters: swimming , surfing and wakeboarding are some of my favorite summer activities. Ask me and I may reveal my favorite watering holes.
I enjoy Ashtanga yoga, TM meditation and Ayurvedic cooking. I love to travel to metropolitan areas as well as remote wilderness. I enjoy music, art and independent movies I was lucky to go the the Venice Biennale in 2013 and Amsterdam to look at artist residencies for a model to bring to Boise. I will be going back to Burning Man for the fifth time this summer. It fills me up with ideas about temporary living spaces and the sense of community that I embrace and try to model.
Aside from that I am a soccer mom and we have a dog named Izzy (hypoallergenic) and a guinea pig (that sheds) and are just living the dream.
Enjoy your day!
