Giacomo was a great hostess from the beginning to the end. The apartment was a little difficult to find at night but it was beautiful both the rooms and the view. Really close to Da Vinci's birth place. Very quiet and peaceful area. I really enjoyed the different touch of each room and how comfortable it was for my parents who were visiting Italy and my children. Giacomo and Rollie was very nice and welcoming. I enjoyed looking at the Giacomo's photography and artwork which he collects from around the world. Definitely recommend anyone to stay.
I had been here once before and loved it. The experience this time was even better than I could have hoped for. Giacomo is an amazing host and I would stay here again and again.
Our stay at the villa was just lovely. It is a beautiful quiet part of the Italian countryside and perfect for a holiday with a large group. Giacomo was a great host and organised a fantastic wine tasting and also had a dinner organised for our group with some cooking inspiration. We would recommend the villa to anyone as a wonderful base to explore tuscany.
you can't do it better! airbnb as good as it gets.
Giacomo was a lovely man who was helpful when he was there. The grounds were lovely, the home was perfect, the pool was refreshing. Everything was really great. One of our favorite stays in Italy.
Amazing, this place is beautiful, my wife (18 months pregnant) and I stayed for three days. It was the most relaxed and most rest we have gotten in four years. The pictures of the house and surroundings do not do this place justice. We are planning on bringing our entire family back in the near future.
Though Giacomo was out of the country during our visit, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Old Stone House! Well cared for in his absence by Rolly, we were delighted by the art displayed throughout the home, collected from all corners of the world. The home truly reflects the warmth of these two kind individuals.
The grounds, too, were lovely, offering views of this more mountainous region of Tuscany from several vantage points, including a wonderful terrace and pool area. We rented a car in Florence, finding the directions Giacomo provided perfect for reaching his home, tucked in this quiet area.
Our room was comfortable, and it was nice to have access to a full kitchen in which to try our cooking skills. We found the small store operated by the kind and helpful Monica, within walking distance. We also took their recommendation for a local restaurant, finding it both charming and authentic. Giacomo and Rolly have kindly provided maps, guidebooks, and language books for their guests to borrow during their stays.
Though we stayed a bit before high season (and when it was still quite cool at night,) we could imagine the fun interactions with guests from around the world at the pool and on the terrace. We enjoyed our casual conversations with the B&B's other guests in the comfortable kitchen and lounge.
We would love to go back, and highly recommend Giacomo, Rolly, and the Old Stone House!
