The house was clean and well kept. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful and the breakfasts were great. The room, although small, was nicely furnished. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Merle and Karen had a lovely fire going in the fireplace when we arrived. The home is absolutely gorgeous, the breakfast was deliciously filling but most of all the hosts were top shelf. They went out of their way to make us comfortable on what was a stormy night when we arrived. We hope to return again for more memories!

They happily greeted us at the door, inviting us into their warm and cozy living room equipped with comfortable couches, a glowing fire, and a variety of beverage options. The place was very clean and well supplied with everything from a water bottle by the bedside and a medicine cabinet of toiletries to fluffy towels and a hot shower. Their conversation and knowledge of the area would make any guest feel welcome to sit back by the fire, put up their feet, and simply enjoy the experience. We also felt equally comfortable taking time for ourselves and enjoying the solitude of our room and private bath. Since it was cool and our visit short we only took a short jaunt around the grounds but they were lovely, spacious, and beautiful with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view and fresh air. Breakfast was the ultimate treat. Every detail accounted for on the table, all set with fine dishes. A variety of breakfast choices including a made to order omelette and fresh muffins. I would highly recommend this place. Especially for a married or retired couple looking to do some hiking and exploring in the area and/or enjoy the company of their hosts!

It was a fantastic room in a beautiful part of the country. If you like driving, the roads around here are fantastic, and this room was the perfect spot to rest for the night. We were here for the Lime Rock Concours, and we'd love to return next year.

Merle and Karen's house is lovely. It is cute, comfortable, and in a really relaxing setting. We really appreciated the delicious breakfast and the opportunity to swim in the heated pool in the morning. I also sat in the backyard and just relaxed in the incredibly placid surroundings. A wonderful place to get away from it all, with gracious hosts!
