Enjoy the beauty of nature from this roomy Country French cottage in the woods within an hour's train ride to Chicago. Our sunlit, second floor guest room and main level bath with special touches await your arrival! Full breakfasts made with TLC!
Our guests will have access to wireless internet, the sunporch, the kitchen and eating area, private reading/tv room and of course - the woods behind our home. We also have a grill and outdoor sitting area right outside for warm nights. Guests are welcome to utilize the washer and dryer during longer stays.
We are less than a mile from the New Lenox Metra train station which gets you into the city in about an hour. If you prefer to drive, it takes around 40 minutes to get into the city. In the neighborhood are highways I-80 and 355 for easy travel to many other Illinois attractions (like Starved Rock, Matthiesson State Park, Gurnee Mills, etc.)! We are walking distance to a few restaurants and other little stops, including an old, artsy gift shop called Petals and Twigs. Other local hot spots include the Rialto Square Theater, First Midwest Bank Amphiteater, Barber and Oberwortmann Horticultural Center and Conservatory/Greenhouse, AMC movie theater, and many other fantastic restaurants and shopping options- all within a short drive (5-25 minutes).
