Upon check-in around 3p on Friday, Reneika reported that the house was hot. But, as I told her, it might take awhile to cool down since the A/C had been off for several days. I didn't hear from her again until 9p on Saturday night stating the house was 81 degrees and she would seek a refund and search for another place to stay. I immediately reached out to my A/C technician and he agreed to stop by on Sunday morning. There was a lot of back and forth w/ Reneika on Saturday night between 9pm to 2am as I explained to her my options were limited at that hour. In the end, the A/C was repaired on Sunday but we were both fairly frustrated. I did stop by the house on Sunday to apologize for the inconvenience in person and although Reneika wasn't present, one member of her group was there and responded in a very understanding/appreciative matter.
If I had been notified that the A/C was still an issue on Friday night, Saturday morning, or even Saturday afternoon, I could have rectified this much more quickly, without the frustrating communications well into the night on Saturday and I am sincerely sorry that this put a damper on her stay.
