Newly renovated studio filled with all you need for the perfect vacation: private patio, kitchenette, big BBQ, wash/dryer, 200+ TV channels, Wi-fi, private parking, jacuzzi tub, more. Walk to beach, shops, restaurants, train depot, Farmers' Market.

Formerly owned by the lovely Margie and Reg Morken this has been a special vacation spot for many years. Shaded by the boughs of a 300-year-old tree with Spanish Moss swinging in the ocean air, the cottage has just been outfitted with custom-made bedroom furniture and a brand new sleeper sofa. Both bed and sofa mattress feature a comfy gel foam sleeping experience. You are on an acre of garden, steps from attractions in the town, but it feels like your own private getaway.

In June 2016, we pulled up all the carpet, tiled the floors, put in a new A/C and 80 gallon water heater. The photos with captions are the views of the cottage before all the improvements. We have photos of our new updated look.

Adgang for gæster

In addition to the comfy cottage with your own private patio and picnic table, guests may enjoy the acre of land that the main Palm House sits on. Enjoy our garden and front veranda, but don't miss the nearby duck pond, public playground and tennis courts.

The cottage is in old town Bay St. Louis, within easy walking distance to many local restaurants, shops, a museum, visitor's center, the Depot District, and - of course - the beach!

Our Palm House is also on the property with the Palm Cottage, so we are here if you need us. The owner, Captain Birch is available to give fishing advice. Otherwise the ladies of the house - Anna, Grace and Ann - are available to give you a run-down of where everything is around the house and the town. Most of the info you will need, including the wifi code, are in the guestbook on the desk. Please sign it after your stay!

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke

Beginning with bookings made October 1, 2017, Airbnb will collect 9% sales tax and remit to MS Deparrment of Revenue. We wanted to inform our guest of this charge.

This place is perfect for people who are driving in for the weekend, but snowbirds will also love it for extended stays in the winter.

The Farmer’s Market is every Saturday morning just down the hill and the Second Saturday Artwalk in Old Town is sure to please.

Please note that a train line runs through the town - as it does all along this coast - near the property. Trains are usually several hours apart and do not stop in Bay St. Louis.

The place is great. Not so big that you forget your things everywhere and not so small you're cramped. Also within a very reasonable walking distance of everything. The beach is just a couple of very short blocks from the house. Right up the street are restaurants and boutiques. Down 90 is Gulfport and Biloxi. A great home base for your MS Gulf Coast adventure.

Great little place for a weekend getaway. Walking distance to pretty much everything we did in Bay St. Louis!

The outdoor sitting area in the photo was excellent. Quiet and relaxing except when the trains went by. Use the full size refrigerator instead of the small one in the kitchen. Bed is super comfy...plenty of pillows! Location is excellent. Walk or bike - they supply 2 bikes with locks - to everything. They supplied a lot of items you usually don't get like charcoal for the grill, laundry items and plenty of soap and shampoo. Great stay!

This cottage is quaint, cozy, secluded yet walking distance to some amazing restaurants, as well as to the beach! We had all we needed for a quiet get away! Everything from sunblock to a grill to a handy toaster oven! Nicely decorated "beachy" (yet not over the top) with a nice covered porch all under a gorgeous oak tree! A jewel of a cottage, location and value!! We look forward to visiting again! Thanks Grace & Christian!!!

The cottage was super cozy in and a convenient location...parking was a little awkward, especially when there were multiple cars in the driveway, but manageable. The amenities provided were great...had everything I needed to make my own meals, and it was nice to be able to do my laundry there. I never did meet the hosts, but Ms. Anna was very friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it!

Even better than the pictures!! Loved this little cottage. I somehow managed to forget shampoo and soap and the house was stoked full of everything you may need! Beautiful beach theme and the bed was so comfy! Your private beach oasis! Saving this one for sure!

Grace & Christian BrugerprofilGrace & Christian er SuperHost.

A country mouse from Alexandria, Louisiana, I got to New Orleans as quickly as I could. It was the year 2000, I was 18. I was sure I was destined for a career in the newsroom, but majored in Public Relations instead.

I've worked for the New Orleans Tourism Board, Mayor Mitch Landrieu and the New Orleans Museum of Art. When things in New Orleans got too hectic, I would always jump in my little convertible and take a spin along the Gulf Coast.

A few years ago, I got married and got a new job at the Times Picayune | NOLA. As my new husband and I were spinning along the coast, we ran across a street named Blaize Ave. My great grandmother was named Clara Blaize. I went back home to my grandma and being the nosy journalist that I am, I started asking questions. Turns out my great grandma grew up in Bay St. Louis. Just down the street from our new dream home and guest cottage.

(Don't you love it when life comes full circle?)

We love New Orleans, but are quickly falling in love with Bay St. Louis and we're sure you will, too. When we're not tootling around the French Quarter (where my husband and I have a condo, too) you'll find us on our sailboat or on the porch of our Palm House on Union Street.

I love unlocking the magic of New Orleans for folks and I'm looking forward to discovering and sharing the magic of Mississippi.

Won't you join us?
