The facts presented in Bill's review are not accurate. In fact when they arrived I offered them breakfast for the next morning as well as an exploration of what they would like to do for their first day out. I came to them the next morning as we had agreed and spent 30 minutes exploring their potential day. Then I never saw them again.
Reading this review, regrettably it looks to me like Bill and his wife were not able to communicate their needs; as well as having an expectation of an AirB&B experience similar to the anonymous and sanitized one has at a hotel. You do not want to see the maid unless requested, not her toiletries.
This was unfortunate for them as they were to spend a week here on the first leg of a year's journey around the country by car and had high anticipations. Rather than articulate their concerns to me, (which they did not), they chose to leave and did not follow the AirB&B cancellation policy which reads, "If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to AirB&B within 24 hours of check-in."
It could have been different.
