A world of peace and serenity. You can the entire ground floor apartment. Walk across the street to enter Kealakekua Bay (aka Dolphin Bay) to see or swim with dolphins in the nourishing crystalline blue water. Or walk 5 minutes the other direction and snorkel at Manini beach park. Enjoy many species of marine fishes. Sleep to the lullaby of ocean waves. Watch sunset from my lot. Two other beloved swim spots: Honaunau National Park is 10-minutes and County Park Ho'okena is 20-minutes drive away.

Boligen
Ideal LOCATION if you love water, swim, snorkel and see dolphins and whales. A five minutes walk from my house will take you to Kealakekua Bay, Manini beach or the Napo'opo'o pier. All are great swim spots depending on your taste. The Spinner dolphins frequently show up at Kealakekua Bay. My house is located in Napo'opo'o Village, a small community of houses where many locals live. A completely separate Ohana (one bedroom apartment) on the GROUND FLOOR of my 3-story house, total of about 650 square foot (60 sq.meters) consists of a large living/dining area with kitchenette, a separate bedroom. Bathroom is accessible from living area and bedroom. Please see photo of floor plan. My home is "second row ocean". There is only one house be vfrtween me and the ocean. There is a ceiling fan and two tower fans, even though the space is cool year round. Abundant ocean breeze makes air-conditioning unnecessary. 48" Roku TV with Netflix. After completely renovating the house in 2017, I made this apartment available. Every guest had been delighted.

Gæsteadgang
A bedroom with a high quality Queen size bed, 100% cotton bedding, and adjoining bathroom with shower and tub. The living space has two comfortable and solid futons that easily pull out into full size (54" wide) beds. My last guest just told me that the futon is the most comfortable bed she has slept in since she's 8-months pregnant:) There is a coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster oven, magnetic cooktop, microwave oven, 10 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, Crock Pot, utensils, dishes, pots and pans. Easy to check yourself in using digital lock on door anytime after 2pm.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
No need to buy water in plastic bottles. Hawaii no longer recycle plastic. 9.0pH water from Vollara's Living Water machine, will be awaiting to hydrate you. I will refill whenever you need. There are two beach chairs & beach towels, outside hose for rinsing all your beach items and hang on the clothes line. Gear rental is available from Jack's Diving Locker and Big Island Divers in Kailua Kona (you passed as you drive here), and Kona Boys in Captain Cook. Sunday green market-my favorite, is on Highway 11 (twelve minutes drive) has all Kona products:The world famous Kona coffee, Macadamia nut, fresh picked vegetables and fruits from local family farms, and Kona handmade items. Keauhou Saturday Market is 20 minutes away-produce and food only. Many other markets on other days. My Ohana is equipped with high speed wi-fi but please *NOTE* that I turn wi-fi OFF from 10pm to 7am so that all of us can rest without electro-magnetic radiation. I will honor your request for special hours if necessary. Mahalo.

Kealakekua Bay is the "cream de la cream" of ocean spot for swim, snorkel, dive or lay back and watch dolphins. Watch them jump and spin while you are in the water is the greatest treat I can think of. If you relax and swim slowly, they might even swim around you. "Ke ala" means the path. "Ke kua" roughly translates to the Gods or the heavens. Hawaiian people consider this a very sacred place! Water is usually clear (you can see the sandy bottom where its over 30 feet deep, calm and full of tropical fishes. You might swim next to a Manta Ray or turtle any day, a feast for the eyes and senses. Note all of the mentioned marine life are daily encounter in any of the bays I mentioned. The house is in a neighborhood known as Napo'opo'l village or Manini village. Very laid back and secluded. I got the feel of a real Hawaii when I first stayed here. It is beyond a dream come true to call this my home since October 2017. Come join me:)

I love swimming with dolphins. The crystalline blue water is made more magical when the Spinner dolphins come in to the bays. I will ensure your stay here with me is thoroughly enjoyable. If you like, I'll show you where and how best to swim with my beloved Spinners. I love to travel. I have been to 20+ countries and the money I get from renting part of my home funds more travel. I am a foodie, gourmet cook, and holistic medicine practitioner. I left Hong Kong, my birth place when I was eighteen. Lived on the East coast USA for 43 years. I left Hilton Head in 2017. Now I live on this paradise call the Big Island. It is beyond any dream come true! I live a quiet peaceful life with my boy-cat, Om. I like meeting people (no strangers in my world). I enjoy music, books, movies and learning spirituality. I have a private practice of Energy Medicine and Sound Healing, and work +/-10 hours a week, . I am joyful, loving, fun, neat, clean, kind and considerate. NON-smoker. My joy comes from helping people and making others happy. When I pick a travel destination, the quality of food is a big part of the decision.

I'll be happy to answer your questions before your arrival or during your stay. I am a foodie, I can recommend restaurants. My favorite places to eat out or take out is Kona Grill House, a “hole-in-the-wall” place on Haleki'i Drive in Kealakekua, about 20 minutes drive. The freshest fish grilled or poke, burgers...and the price is good. This is a place where the locals go. Going a little further on the highway, Rebel Kitchen is excellent food of many variety with slightly higher price. Almost all the places around Captain Cook are owner operated with good cooking. Just ask me. Other places: Little Thai place at the bottom level of Choice Mart (excellent grocer). Strawberry Patch and Keei Cafe, both good food $$$, are also on Mamalahoa Highway. Mr. google will direct you there:) NOTE: I offer group Gong Bath (aka Gong Meditation) in my living room on Saturday at 2pm and you're welcome to join ($20). The Big Island is a beautiful diverse place with so much to offer. Many of my guests had visited Volcano State Park as a day trip. Read the guide book, "The Big Island Revealed" prior to arriving. If not, I have a copy in the Ohana.
