This is a house of five rooms, a bathroom and toilet. A kitchen, living room and three bedrooms. During the month August and September a shared house as Wouter will live in the house as well. Beautiful garden going onto the fields. Very close to Emerson College. Close to nature and walking distance to the town centre Forest Row.
I love to be outside and I love to come home in a quiet safe surrounding and just enjoy being. This thing called 'Home' is what I hope to create for you during your stay in Amsterdam.
My main occupation at the moment is hand-making a carpet. I do this with wool and cotton and also with natural elements like leaves and earth. One of my big financial supporters as an artist has been (occasionally) renting out my apartment via AirBnB for the past few years. This wint) my journey goes to Scotland. So ideally when you rent my home, you support my travel. And I Thank you for that. Apart from the financial benefits, I find it a treat if someone else can enjoy my apartment, while I'm away.
As an artist I am improving my apartment constantly. You will find books in the house, written by me and most things in the apartment are handmade. I truly hope you respect this way of living and that you can come to appreciate the peacefulness handmade stuff in the house brings and give, if not already is appreciated.
I'm one of those Dutch people who has never smoked weed. In my view: the so called fun of that disconnected state, never appealed to me. I prefer to have people staying over, who pay attention to their every day life, their health and environment. So, please if you are here to party and crash, this is not your place to spent your time. There are way better options for that, in Amsterdam. Amsterdam has so much to offer apart from weed and crash. so much more. And you are totally welcome here in this apartment, to experience that beauty.
I hope you enjoy my apartment as much as I do and more and more… :-). And I wish you a wonderful stay in Amsterdam!
